ModeX Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist with strong hands-on experience in Immuno-oncology/Immunology to support the development and progression of novel immune therapies. The successful candidate will design, execute, and interpret cell-based studies using primary immune cells and relevant assay systems to evaluate biologic drug candidates, characterize their mechanism of action, and address biological questions. Key Responsibilities:

<ul>

<li>Play a key role in the development of new biologic drugs for Immunotherapy and Immunology </li>

<li>Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro/ex vivo studies to characterize drug candidates and their mechanisms of action</li>

<li>Develop and perform complex immune cell-based functional assays using primary immune cells (human and mouse), tumor cell lines, reporter systems, and co-culture models</li>

<li>Design, optimize and troubleshoot multicolor flow cytometry panels, including compensation/unmixing, antibody titration and gating strategies</li>

<li>Analyze experimental data, generate clear conclusions, and provide data-driven recommendations to advance research programs</li>

<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with discovery, translational and project teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and timely progression of programs. </li>

<li>Contribute to scientific reports, presentations, and project updates, and effectively communicate findings to cross-functional teams</li>

<li>Maintain accurate documentation of experimental activities and ensure compliance with applicable laboratory standards and data integrity practices.</li>

Qualifications:

<ul>

<li>Ph.D. or M.S. Degree in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell biology, Immuno-oncology, or a related scientific field, with 10+ years of relevant research experience, including at least 4+ years in a biotech or pharmaceutical R&D environment</li>

<li>Strong, hands-on expertise in Immunotherapy and Immunology, with the ability to independently evaluate and apply new concepts and immunoassays </li>

<li>Demonstrated experience designing, executing, and interpreting functional assays using primary immune cells, including multi-parameter flow cytometry, cytokine profiling (ELISA, MSD, Luminex, or equivalent), immune activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity assays.</li>

<li>Hands-on experience with flow cytometry panel design, optimization, and data analysis; spectral flow cytometry experience is desirable</li>

<li>Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive projects forward in a fast-paced biotech environment</li>

<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly to scientific and cross-functional audiences</li>

<li>Strong troubleshooting, organization, data analysis, and problem-solving skills</li>

<li>Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas, work across teams, and mentor junior team members as needed</li>
