About this role

<p><span>ModeX Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist with </span><span>strong hands-on </span><span>experience </span><span>in </span><span>Immuno-oncology/Immunology</span> <span>to support the development and progression of novel immune therapies</span><span>. The successful candidate will </span><span>design, execute, and interpret cell-based studies using primary immune cells and relevant assay systems</span><span> to </span><span>evaluate</span><span> biologic drug candidates, </span><span>characterize their</span><span> mechanism of action, and </span><span>address </span><span>biological questions</span><span>.</span><span> This is an exciting opportunity </span><span>for a collaborative scientist who enjoys working at the bench, brings strong biological insight, and wants to contribute </span><span>to the development of next-generation therapeutics in a fast-paced, rapidly growing biotech company with a bold vision.  </span></p>

<p><strong><span>Key Responsibilities: </span></strong></p>

<ul>

<li><span>Play a key role in the development of new biologic drugs for Immunotherapy and Immunology </span></li>

<li><span>Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro/ex vivo studies to characterize drug candidates and their mechanisms of action</span></li>

<li><span>Develop and perform complex immune cell-based functional assays using primary immune cells (human and mouse), tumor cell lines, reporter systems, and co-culture models</span></li>

<li><span>Design, optimize and troubleshoot multicolor flow cytometry panels, including compensation/unmixing, antibody titration and gating strategies</span></li>

<li><span>Analyze experimental data, generate clear conclusions, and provide data-driven recommendations to advance research programs</span></li>

<li><span>Collaborate cross-functionally with discovery, translational and project teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and timely progression of programs. </span></li>

<li><span>Contribute to scientific reports, presentations, and project updates, and effectively communicate findings to cross-functional teams</span></li>

<li><span>Maintain accurate documentation of experimental activities and ensure compliance with applicable laboratory standards and data integrity practices.</span></li>

<p><strong><span>Qualifications: </span></strong></p>

<ul>

<li><span>Ph.D. or M.S. Degree in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell biology, Immuno-oncology, or a related scientific field, with 10+ years of relevant research experience, including at least 4+ years in a biotech or pharmaceutical R&amp;D environment</span></li>

<li><span>Strong, hands-on expertise in Immunotherapy and Immunology,</span><span> with the ability to independently evaluate and apply new concepts and immunoassays </span></li>

<li><span>Demonstrated experience designing, executing, and interpreting functional assays using primary immune cells, including multi-parameter flow cytometry, cytokine profiling (ELISA, MSD, Luminex, or equivalent), immune activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity assays.</span></li>

<li><span>Hands-on experience with flow cytometry panel design, optimization, and data analysis; spectral flow cytometry experience is desirable</span></li>

<li><span>Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive projects forward in a fast-paced biotech environment</span></li>

<li><span>Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly to scientific and cross-functional audiences</span></li>

<li><span>Strong troubleshooting, organization, data analysis, and problem-solving skills</span></li>

<li><span>Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas, work across teams, and mentor junior team members as needed</span></li>
