About this role

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come.

Join Roche, where every voice matters. The Position At Roche, we are digitalizing healthcare to deliver better outcomes faster. We believe that every digital touchpoint should build trust, ease, and emotional connection.

As a Product Design Lead , you will translate strategic vision into tangible digital reality, operating at the intersection of high-fidelity design and holistic end-to-end (E2E) customer journey mapping. Working within a highly collaborative matrix organization, you will act as a ‘Design Integrator’ , partnering with Global Digital CX Journey Leads and product squads to ensure a visually unified, seamless, and deeply engaging digital experience across all diagnostics platforms. The Position You will bridge the gap between abstract customer needs and pixel-perfect execution.

Your mission is to ensure that every digital interaction is intuitive, emotionally resonant, and aligned with global DigCX design practices. You will champion human-centered design and lean experimentation, validating solutions with real users to deliver a market-leading experience. Key Responsibilities: Prototyping & Lean Experimentation: Translate E2E journey insights into user flows, intuitive prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups.

Rapidly test and iterate designs based on real user behavior analytics and direct feedback. Journey Architecture & Consistency: Act as the Digital UX Guardian across touchpoints. Optimize user workflows to reduce cognitive load, maximize efficiency, and ensure that digital designs seamlessly integrate with the physical customer reality.

Experience Optimization: Support the identification of journey pain points and "moments to delight" using customer data rather than just executing predefined requirements. Embed usability, accessibility, and emotional trust throughout the lifecycle. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work within multidisciplinary, lean product squads (including CX, Product Owners, and Engineers).

Advocate fiercely for user-centric design, ensuring internal process efficiency never compromises the customer experience. Who You Are You are a "Design Generalist" who is equally comfortable hashing out high-level workflow strategies as you are diving into detailed visual execution. You have the creativity to devise elegant solutions for complex healthcare challenges and the communication skills to defend your design rationale to executives and development teams alike.

Qualifications & Experience: Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience leading end-to-end UI/UX design and applying strategic thinking to design execution. Education: Advanced degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Tool Expertise: Prototyping expert with mastery in industry-standard software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Axure, InVision) to create high-fidelity specifications.

Methodology: Deep proficiency in Agile, Human-Centered Design (HCD), and Lean Experimentation, with a proven track record of validating impact with real users. Mindset: Exceptional problem solver, great collaborator, and a passionate advocate for optimal, seamless user experiences. What We Offer A purpose-driven environment where your designs directly impact healthcare professionals and patients globally.

A vibrant, multidisciplinary digital community that fosters continuous learning, innovation, and cutting-edge UX/UI practices. Flexible working conditions designed to support your creativity, well-being, and professional growth. Ready to design the future of healthcare experience?
