Manufacturing & Quality Technical Hub, Hyderabad Lilly's Hyderabad hub is a first-of-its-kind technical center built to lead the manufacturing and quality science agenda for Lilly's global supply network, and the work done here reaches patients in more than 110 countries. This hub oversees contract manufacturing of starting materials and intermediates for API manufacturing in India, managing the full scientific agenda for manufacturing and quality.

We're building a cutting-edge scientific organization and looking for top talent in process engineering, chemistry, analytical and data sciences to be part of it. The science you develop here doesn't stay here. It moves through Lilly's global supply network and reaches patients across more than 110 countries who are counting on it.

The ETC is a technical resource for training, standards, project implementation, and the center of engineering excellence for the corporation, providing deeply technical resources to solve the most intractable technical problems in manufacturing. ETC is expanding into the India Technical Hub to add roles that can support work globally. Key Objectives/Deliverables Analyzes failures (equipment, process, system) to drive to root cause and appropriate countermeasures Establishes key best practices and techniques to minimize failures for mechanical / electrical equipment and systems in a pharmaceutical environment Establishes the Engineering Requirements for the use and application of key condition monitoring techniques such as vibration, temperature, thermography, motor current, and ultra sonic technologies Active owner and developer of maintenance execution plans and work instructions Review engineering and design work by contractors and the submittals from suppliers and contractors against the engineering requirements including Lilly Global Quality Standards, Global Engineering Standards, and Engineering Master Specifications.

Basic Qualifications BS in Engineering (Mechanical strongly preferred) typically found in pharmaceutical manufacturing Demonstrated knowledge of Root Cause Analysis tools and applications Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, using established methodologies. Knowledge of rotating equipment and key attributes required for maximum uptime Knowledge of technologies used in the vibration monitoring and analysis field. Knowledge of thermography, motor current and ultrasonic technologies Minimum of 10 years manufacturing and/or engineering in support of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Demonstrated understanding of the design processes employed by engineering and architectural firms. Must possess strong business acumen, with an awareness of the life cycle cost evaluation processes as they apply to equipment and systems. Must have demonstrated good written and verbal communications skills.

Must have project management experience - the ability to lead groups including internal and external resources. Proven flexibility in adapting and adjusting to changes in working practices and a willingness to take on different roles as required by the needs of the Engineering Tech Center. Ability to work with diverse perspectives and to identity and resolve issues with minimal direction.
