Your Role

The Project Engineer is responsible for the oversight and management of project engineering activities for the site. This includes projects in our laboratory, distribution center, chemical packaging, and administrative areas. This role requires the Project Engineer to independently manage individual and group timelines, as well as effectively communicate with staff, team members, cross-functional stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and external regulatory representatives.

The Project Engineer effectively leads, initiates and drives change for the site to develop process and safety improvements. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate Capital projects of various sizes, complexities and budgets of up to $2MM from initiation up to closeout.
  • Manage and coordinate construction projects of up to 75 tradesmen
  • Support the creation, review, approval, execution, extension, and/or closure of site deviations (events), CAPAs, and change controls.
  • Complete, review, and/or approve site risk assessments.
  • Time management including creating schedules, managing subcontractors and internal support functions related to all engineering activities.
  • Manage and coordinate construction projects of subcontracted tradesman.
  • Manage internal stakeholders and report to management with full transparency on project status with respect to safety, budget, schedule, scope, and risks.
  • Procure necessary consultants, contractors, equipment, and materials to support capital projects.
  • Manage and complete an average of 1–10 capital projects annually of various sizes and complexity.
  • Plan, schedule timelines, monitor and follow-up on capital projects ensuring safely and timely completion and within total documentary compliance.
  • Solve sophisticated or novel problems by analyzing data, gathering input, and observing operations.
  • Manage projects in a regulated environments such as OSHA PSM.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of work experience in plant engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAD software proficiency.
  • HVAC system design experience.
  • Fire prevention system design experience.

Pay Range for this position: $83,500 - $125,300/year.

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
