Job Summary The Director of Information Technology (IT) leads IT operations and executes key strategic and operational activities to support business operations, strengthening technology capabilities and ensuring reliable, secure and compliant systems.
This role partners with leadership to understand business priorities; implementing technology solutions that align with organizational needs. Responsibilities include managing IT infrastructure, business systems, compliance, security, and support services. Primary Responsibilities Own and manage core IT operations, including infrastructure and business systems.
Develop and enforce IT policies, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. Maintain secure data management systems and environments. Manage deployments, software licensing, and endpoint security for company devices.
Support and enhance IT solutions including networking, telephony, ERP, CRM, QMS, and other business applications. Implement approved IT plans, including hardware and software projects. Evaluate and manage vendor contracts, providing best-fit solution recommendations.
Act as an escalation point for IT-related issues across all sites and departments. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, including the adoption of best practices, vulnerability management, and security awareness training. Provide user training and support for hardware and software applications.
Manage internal IT staff or external resources to meet service level targets. Define ERP lifecycle management processes, including selection, deployment, and optimization. Implement ERP system int acquired businesses.
Ensure seamless integration of ERP with other business-critical systems. Manage data migration and system validation to minimize disruptions. Lead ERP training and adoption strategies across departments.
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, or other relevant quality standards. Validate IT systems to meet regulatory and audit requirements. Lead cloud adoption and optimization strategies (Azure).
Ensure high availability and security for remote work environments. Implement cloud governance and cost optimization best practices. Oversee data integration and migration initiatives.
Support Power BI or other analytics platform adoption. Establish data governance and reporting frameworks. Key Competencies Proven analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong business acumen with ability to align IT priorities with strategic and organizational goals. Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and cross-functional leadership skills Experience integrating acquired businesses onto common platforms. Hands-on experience with IT project management, preferably Agile or hybrid methodologies.
Preferred Experience & Skills Extensive IT experience in fast-growing, mid-sized enterprises with evolving technology needs. Familiarity with private equity or parent company structures, including reporting and IT governance expectations. IT Service and Support Management – Oversee IT helpdesk operations, incident resolution, ticketing systems, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high availability and quality end-user support.
Infrastructure Management (Endpoint, Assets, Virtualization, Cloud Services) – Manage IT assets, endpoint devices, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) to optimize performance and cost efficiency. ERP System Administration and Enhancements – Configure, maintain, and optimize ERP systems supporting core business processes. Lead system upgrades and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
O365 Administration and Adoption – Manage Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Drive adoption through user training and automation of administrative tasks. Disaster Recovery Planning & Implementation – Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring business continuity through robust backup, failover, and recovery procedures for critical IT services.
Experience in ERP system implementation, migration, and consolidation. Experience with INFOR/Siteline strongly desired. Knowledge of business process modeling and workflows (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, etc.).
Experience performing due diligence, site audits, integration activities for newly acquired businesses. Minimum Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in diverse IT roles, with at least 3 years in IT management. Multi-site manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, IS, or a related field. Ongoing professional development through certifications and training preferred (CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL 4 Foundation or higher, Microsoft Azure certifications, or equivalent relevant certifications). Travel Requirement: 10-15% travel required.
Pay Range: $175K-$200K per year. Compensation is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, certifications, and market conditions. This position may also be eligible for annual bonus and/or other incentive compensation.
