Your Role at Baxter This is where my hands make life-sustaining products The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed. Your Team You will be part of a dedicated maintenance team that works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS partners to support manufacturing operations. Together, you will focus on equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, changing filters, and replacing worn parts. Troubleshoot equipment problems and make repairs to keep production running efficiently.
Inspect equipment regularly to identify issues and take corrective action before problems occur. Complete and maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and equipment performance records. Repair or replace equipment components and verify that repairs are completed correctly and safely.
Install new equipment and ensure it is operating properly before use. Calibrate equipment to ensure it performs accurately and meets operational requirements. Conduct equipment checks to ensure machines are operating safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
Work closely with production teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime. Support continuous improvement efforts that increase efficiency, reliability, and productivity. Train and assist production employees on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
Help manage spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure needed materials are available. Follow all safety, environmental, quality, GMP, FDA, and ISO requirements and company policies. Report safety concerns, near misses, accidents, and hazardous conditions promptly.
Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 6S and housekeeping standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, technical trade school training, or military technical training preferred. Two or more years of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or electronic equipment. Ability to learn and support manufacturing equipment and related processes. OSHA certification required or obtainable as required by the position.
Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred. Additional technical certifications are a plus. Safely lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach to access equipment and perform repairs. Work in tight or hard-to-reach spaces when troubleshooting or maintaining equipment. Push and pull carts, equipment, and materials as needed.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000 to $82,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
