How you’ll make an impact

Provides program management and matrixed leadership to cross functional R&D Development teams to drive development and deliver results to meet corporate objectives/goals.

  • Predicting and planning solutions to achieve program goals
  • Drive clarity and remove barriers to ensure team success
  • Interface with management and influence informed decision making
  • Proactive management and mitigation of development risks
  • Ensure appropriate communication and interface with governance
  • In partnership with Program Team Lead (PTL), establish and obtain alignment on asset strategies and integrated development plans.
  • Establish, coordinate and facilitate effective team discussions at cross-functional program team meetings. establish meeting agendas, driving clear and timely actions, scenarios planning, driving decisions and holding team members accountable. Identify and manage any additional subteams necessary to develop, maintain and execute strategy/integrated development plans
  • Ensure successful execution to timeline and budget of all development activities while proactively identifying key risks and mitigations. Independently resolve complex issues and competing priorities that may impact achievement of goals, creates mitigation plans and drive resolution
  • Proactively manage key company stakeholders (executive leadership team): clearly and concisely communicate internal program issues, formulate a position/strategy, and participate and/or drive the resolution process.
  • Manage scheduled and ad hoc program reporting; Responsible for coordinating preparation for governance to support and drive asset objectives and deliverables.
  • Play a key role in ensuring team effectiveness; health checks and action plans to boost team productivity.
  • Support project management and corporate initiatives as needed.

Skills and experience you’ll bring

  • 8+ years in biotech or pharmaceutical environments with a minimum of 4 years in program management
  • PhD or other advanced degree in scientifically oriented discipline preferred; PMP certification is a plus
  • Track record of having managed internal programs, as well as a desire and ability to perform at a strategic leadership level as well as in a hands-on capacity
  • Discovery, Research and Drug Development experience: pre-clinical discovery programs through all stages of small molecule drug development through registration and life cycle management.
  • Proven success as a cross-functional leader in managing matrix teams in highly complex, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including specifically, the skills needed to manage difficult conversations and interactions as they arise
  • Strong influential skills and able earn the trust and respect of internal stakeholders while driving initiatives forward
  • Project Management Expertise/Organizational Skills
  • Scientific Knowledge
  • Business Acumen
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Project (or similar), visualization tools including PowerPoint, and other planning/tracking software/platforms.

Compensation

  • Kymera offers a competitive compensation package that recognizes both results and capabilities through market-based, performance-driven pay.
  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $195,000 – $330,000, with eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Actual salary is based on a holistic evaluation of the specific role/level as well as each candidate’s depth of experience and the capabilities they bring to the position.
