The Position This intermediate IT Infrastructure Enginee r role is a dynamic, hybrid position split evenly (50/50) between traditional infrastructure engineering and infrastructure automation/coding. You will independently solve a range of technical business problems and contribute to challenging projects by designing, building, and implementing resilient backup solutions.

By applying advanced DevOps practices, you will design test-driven infrastructure and continuous deployment pipelines. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and consulting stakeholders. Job Responsibilities Infrastructure Design & Delivery (50%) Design, build, test, and implement integrated, resilient, and reliable infrastructure backup solutions, either on-premises or in the public cloud.

Apply deep technical knowledge independently to address difficult challenges and solve a wide range of business problems creatively. Stay proactive and aware of operational challenges; work with product and support teams to provide internal escalation support to resolve incidents and major incidents. Ensure that all implemented solutions strictly comply with Quality and Regulatory standards.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (50%) Design and implement test-driven infrastructure and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Provision, deliver, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) and orchestration systems to eliminate manual toil. Produce and maintain sufficient documentation for the designs, design patterns, and automated component standards created or maintained.

Accountability & Stakeholder Management Evaluate promising technologies and assess business feasibility across technology domains via Proofs of Concept (PoCs). Act as a technical consultant to senior internal and external stakeholders, communicating complex issues and solutions clearly. Take ownership of key deliverables on projects, represent the workgroup, and influence project direction and technical decisions.

Collaborate effectively with diverse team members and virtual teams from various locations and cultural backgrounds. Qualifications Education / Experience 3-6 Years of relevant work experience, or 1-3 Years with a Master's degree, preferably in a multinational work environment. Demonstrated experience acting in a DevOps capacity, independently addressing a broad range of difficult technical problems.

Experience in designing, building, testing, and implementing integrated, reliable IT infrastructure solutions. Experience representing workgroups on project teams, managing milestones, and potentially leading small project teams or mentoring individuals.

Technical / Business Skills Backup Solutions: Proven experience designing and managing Backup environments, specifically using Cohesity. Knowledge of other disaster/cyber recovery and backup tools (such as Rubrik, Veeam, or Commvault) is highly desired. Coding and Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python to drive automation, with foundational coding skills adaptable to other programming languages.

Infrastructure, CI/CD & APIs: Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, or equivalents, paired with strong proficiency in RESTful API design principles and integration workflows. Source Code Management : Strong proficiency in Git and GitHub for distributed version control, collaborative workflows, and code management. Agile Operations: Strong understanding of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service environment, applying Scrum, Agile, and ITIL methodologies.

Ability to evaluate promising technologies via PoCs and assess their feasibility in meeting business needs. Additional Qualifications Experience with different hypervisor technologies, specifically Nutanix AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor) and VMware ESXi. PowerShell: Familiarity with PowerShell for existing scripts and vendor modules (e.g., Cohesity).

Bash / Shell Scripting: Linux administration and OS-level troubleshooting background to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development. Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) lifecycle; ITIL 4 Foundation certification is highly desired. AI Agent Architecture: Early experience or strong interest in building AI Agent workflows and leveraging Model Context Protocol (MCP) to integrate AI capabilities into core system integrations.
