About the Role As a Sales Associate, you'll partner closely with Sales Executives to drive sales growth, support customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service throughout the greater Southern California market. Reporting to the Manager, Sales Associate, with a dotted-line relationship to the local sales team, you'll serve as a trusted product expert supporting product demonstrations, clinical evaluations, installations, and customer education.

This role is part of KARL STORZ's highly successful Sales Associate development program, designed to prepare high-performing associates for future Sales Executive opportunities. While primarily supporting the greater Southern California market, you'll also assist customers and sales initiatives across other territories as business needs require. This is a field-based position requiring travel to customer sites throughout the assigned territory and occasional travel outside the region.

What You'll Do Partner with Sales Executives to achieve territory sales objectives and expand business within hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and physician offices. Conduct product demonstrations, evaluations, and clinical trials to support new business opportunities. Provide operating room case coverage before, during, and after product evaluations and customer procedures.

Lead or assist with capital equipment installations and customer in-service training. Support single-use product initiatives through product trials and ongoing clinical support. Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nurses, sterile processing teams, materials management, and hospital administrators.

Deliver product education, training, and troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product utilization. Prepare sales quotations, service agreements, and assist with order status updates and customer inquiries. Coordinate product returns, service and repair requests, and manage demonstration equipment.

Develop and execute compliant sales strategies with the local sales team to drive territory growth. Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and required reports. Attend sales meetings, training programs, and national or regional meetings as assigned.

Complete all required compliance training, hospital credentialing, and company certifications. What You Bring Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, preferably in medical device, healthcare, or a related industry.

Strong presentation and customer relationship management skills. Experience supporting healthcare environments such as operating rooms, sterile processing departments, or biomedical teams is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to travel up to 90% throughout the assigned territory and occasionally support customers in other U.S. markets. Ability to obtain and maintain all required hospital credentialing and facility access requirements.
