About this role
As a Senior SAP Project & Portfolio Manager, you will steer the global SAP project portfolio, connecting strategic planning with delivery so that SAP initiatives land on time, on budget, and to the quality standards of a regulated pharmaceutical business. You will be the reference point for SAP initiatives worldwide, working with business process owners, Demand Management, project managers, SAP teams, and implementation partners across every region, providing the coordination and transparency needed for effective portfolio governance and delivery. Your responsibilities: Steer the global SAP project portfolio so that initiatives stay aligned with business strategy and the IT roadmap.
Track milestones, dependencies, and risks across concurrent SAP initiatives and implementation partners. Produce portfolio reports, KPIs, and dashboards that give management and steering committees a clear view of status and risk. Manage capacity planning, resource allocation, and budget tracking across parallel projects.
Partner with business process owners, IT management, Demand Management, SAP teams, and implementation partners to keep delivery aligned. Run change management and rollout activities for SAP solutions across business units. Ensure SAP projects meet internal governance, audit, validation, and quality standards in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Strengthen portfolio management frameworks, delivery standards, and documentation to raise execution quality. Your qualifications: Degree in business administration, information systems, engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years leading global IT projects, including end-to-end deployment of SAP solutions across multiple regions.
Deep hands-on knowledge of several SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, TM, GRC, or PM. Solid process understanding in areas such as transportation, warehousing, production planning, demand forecasting, finance, or controlling. Confident with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods; PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification is a plus.
Experience with portfolio management tooling such as ServiceNow; SAP Focused Build, Jira, or Microsoft Project is an advantage. Ability to align stakeholders and resolve conflicting priorities across IT, business functions, and external suppliers in a matrix organization. Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally.
