Position Summary
The Director, Strategic Portfolio & Planning is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and governing the enterprise Data, Digital & AI portfolio, strategic planning process, and multi-year roadmap across the DDAI organization.
Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Execution, this leader translates DDAI strategy into an integrated portfolio of investments and capabilities, ensuring priorities remain aligned with enterprise objectives, business value, organizational capacity, and technology strategy.
Work arrangement: This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.
Responsibilities
As a highly visible leader, this role serves as a key interface between the Digital Hub and Digital Spokes, driving planning, prioritization, governance, and cross-functional alignment across a complex matrix organization. The role enables executive decision-making through portfolio insights, strategic trade-off analysis, and roadmap transparency while fostering collaboration across business and technology leaders.
Strategic Portfolio Leadership
· Lead the enterprise portfolio of Data, Digital & AI initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities and business outcomes.
· Develop an integrated view of the DDAI portfolio across Digital Hub and Digital Spokes.
· Continuously assess portfolio health, value realization, dependencies, resource constraints, and strategic risks.
· Recommend portfolio adjustments based on changing business priorities, funding, capacity, and organizational objectives.
· Drive portfolio governance forums that support executive decision-making and strategic investment choices.
Strategic Planning
· Lead the annual and quarterly strategic planning processes for DDAI.
· Partner with Digital Hub leaders and Digital Spoke leaders to develop aligned strategic plans and priorities.
· Translate enterprise strategy into actionable objectives, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
· Facilitate strategic planning workshops and leadership sessions.
· Coordinate scenario planning and strategic trade-off discussions.
Roadmap Development
· Own development and maintenance of the integrated DDAI roadmap.
· Ensure roadmaps reflect enterprise priorities, sequencing, dependencies, and resource availability.
· Provide executive-level visibility into upcoming initiatives, major milestones, risks, and delivery horizons.
· Continuously evolve planning processes to improve transparency and organizational alignment.
Digital Operating Model Leadership
· Serve as a key leader within the DDAI operating model.
· Build trusted partnerships across Digital Hub functions and Digital Spokes.
· Drive consistent planning, governance, and prioritization practices across the organization.
· Foster collaboration across architecture, engineering, product, operations, business technology teams, and enabling functions.
· Help mature governance processes supporting enterprise-wide digital execution.
Executive Portfolio Insights
· Develop executive-ready portfolio reporting and strategic insights.
· Present recommendations to the DDAI Leadership Team and executive stakeholders.
· Prepare materials supporting investment decisions, prioritization, roadmap reviews, and quarterly business reviews.
· Provide data-driven analysis on portfolio performance, delivery trends, capacity, and emerging risks.
Strategic Governance
· Establish planning standards, portfolio management practices, and governance processes.
· Define decision frameworks supporting prioritization and investment management.
· Partner closely with Budget & Investment Governance, Project Management, Communications, Enterprise Architecture, and Digital Risk & Compliance leaders to ensure coordinated execution.
· Drive continuous improvement of planning processes through automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
Qualifications
Required Experience
· 12+ years leading enterprise technology strategy, portfolio management, digital transformation, or strategic planning.
· Demonstrated success leading enterprise portfolios in complex matrix organizations.
· Experience facilitating executive planning and investment decision-making.
· Proven ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
· Experience working across business and technology organizations.
· Strong understanding of digital operating models, governance, and organizational planning.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$192,000.00---$288,000.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
