This position will begin as a temporary assignment with the potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
JOB SUMMARY
Perform inspections through operations in receiving inspection, machine shop and assembly. Supports incoming and in-process inspections to ensure purchased and manufactured components meet quality specifications and technical requirements. Provide technical assistance and recommendations on all inspect & measurement systems.
JOB DUTIES
- ✓Test and inspect assemblies, finished goods and manufactured machine shop components. Supports receiving inspection of sub-process manufactured components and purchased components per drawing and control plan requirements.
- ✓Ensure inspection is performed with the proper and calibrated gages and equipment.
- ✓Take accurate measurements utilizing precision devices such as, but not limited to, Vision Systems, CMM, micrometers, calipers, hardness & surface testers.
- ✓Prepare documentation for device history records of Assembly, Machine Shop and Inspection parts history files.
- ✓Support Quality utilizing Inspection Control Plans/Inspection Data Sheets. Support Operations with CMM results.
- ✓Ensure Parts/ materials are properly identified and segregated.
- ✓Identify, segregate and process discrepant materials per procedure (99Q2006).
- ✓Support NCM processes.
- ✓Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD) devices and best practices.
- ✓Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- ✓Highly proficient level regarding blueprint reading and high precision tolerance.
- ✓Must have practical experience and proficiency be familiar with GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerance).
- ✓Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- ✓Working proficiency of PC skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) and manufacturing data systems desired.
- ✓Proficiency with CMM operation/inspection.

- ✓Ensure all quality aspects of position & demonstrate a high level of adherence/integrity with quality principles.
- ✓Maintain a safe working environment.
- ✓Familiarity of machine shop processes/environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required. Technical training and certification preferred. Extensive experience using measuring devices and other tools used in inspection of high precision components required. Three years’ experience in Quality Assurance / Control with on-the-job training. Practical experience with automated CMM preferred.

Pay Range: $18 - $25 per hour
