Axle Informatics is seeking a Research Neurologist to serve as a scientific and medical consultant (Medical Officer Support). In this role, you'll help lead the design, conduct, and evaluation of public health studies and surveillance projects, working alongside federal program staff and the broader public health community. This is a fractional consulting engagement with a fast-approaching start date.
Occasional travel to Atlanta will be required.
What You’ll Do
- ✓Serve as a scientific and medical consultant on CDC public health research studies and surveillance projects.
- ✓Contribute to the design, conduct, and evaluation of evaluation studies measuring the effectiveness of public health programs and strategies.
- ✓Write and review manuscripts, reports, and presentations for professional meetings and peer-reviewed publication.
- ✓Communicate scientific findings and public health information to professional, government, and public audiences.
- ✓Review research proposals and protocols, offering recommendations on design, methodology, and programmatic impact.
- ✓Support project sites with guidance on procedures and standardized protocols.
- ✓Help develop contracts and policy documents, and ensure activities align with applicable review and compliance requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- ✓Current medical licensure and credentials in neurology applicable to the assigned scope of work.
- ✓Documented experience working with CDC, other federal agencies, or related public health entities.
- ✓Strong scientific writing and presentation skills, including peer-reviewed publication experience.
- ✓Comfort working independently in a consulting capacity with federal public health stakeholders.
Salary: $250,000-$280,000
