Role Overview
The Production team at the Veranova West Deptford, NJ site is responsible for ensuring the manufac-turing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) is done with proper safety, quality, and efficient tim-ing, ensuring all documents are prepared and accurate in advance, proper equipment is ready to be used, and proper personnel are trained. Production works alongside multiple departments including Maintenance, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, and Facilities Engineering to complete investigations, continuous improvement projects, and troubleshooting equipment. As a Co-Op, the qualified candidate will work with a mixture of Production Manager, Production Coordinators, and Production Supervisors to update production work instructions, process standard work plans, assist and/or complete a continuous improvement project, and work closely with the production personnel to gain any possible efficiency.
The Co-Op will consistently meet with a designated mentor to enhance the learning experience.
The Co-Op position will work Monday-Friday at our West Deptford, NJ facility.
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Work closely with production leadership to execute one or two specific projects which they will own from start to finish.
- ✓Complete a 5S project.
- ✓Spend time learning how a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation works from raw materials through final product packaged.
- ✓Carry out any other duties which are within the Co-Op’s skills and abilities whenever reasona-bly instructed.
Qualifications
- ✓Working towards a BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- ✓Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
- ✓Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
- ✓Must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
- ✓Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
- ✓Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- ✓Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
