In this role, you navigate complexity and ambiguity with resilience, breaking down silos to standardize processes and create alignment across manufacturing and enabling functions to drive continuous growth. As the Head of Sensor & Cartridge (S&C) Planning and Material Management, you drive excellence across the global S&C manufacturing and supply network with agile and strategic leadership. You enable and lead a network of leaders within a complex, above-country operating organization, taking direct responsibility for critical supply chain functions including buying, production planning, master data management, launch management, and logistics/warehousing.
The Opportunity Develop and communicate a compelling vision aligned with S&C strategic priorities, collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Global Supply Chain, and R&D to define the organization's role in operations and align the end-to-end supply chain from sales planning to customer delivery to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. Take full responsibility for cross-functional operations planning, operational purchasing, production planning, and operational logistics, including managing in- and outbound processes, order management, import/export, inventory optimization, and supply chain monitoring across international networks. Develop operational procurement, strengthen supplier integration to establish strategic partnerships, lead long-term capacity planning within the S&C network, and initiate resulting supply chain design changes.
Ensure efficient material handling for goods receipt, physical inventory management, outbound shipments to hubs, oversee and improve master data management processes, and provide first-level SAP IT support for S&C. Foster early involvement in launch and transfer projects to optimize the total cost of ownership while supporting development projects with logistical expertise, production concepts, and efficient implementation. Actively influence supply chain design and network optimization to enhance flexibility, scalability, and resilience, driving innovation, adopting new technologies, and setting clear performance metrics and KPIs using data and analytics to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
Initiate projects for sustainable improvement, drive operational excellence, anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks related to production, logistics, and market conditions, ensure compliance with global trade regulations, customs requirements, internal policies, and GMP standards, and effectively communicate strategic goals and performance results to senior leaders and stakeholders. Who you are You hold a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, ideally with professional certifications like CSCP or CPSM. You possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
You have a proven track record of managing and developing above-country teams in complex, global environments, including functions like buying, network planning, and international trade. You are a thinker with strong analytical and decision-making skills, capable of managing ambiguity and driving clarity in ever-changing environments. You are fluent in English and you are flexible and willing to travel globally.
