Position Summary We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient daily operation of the warehouse at the Strathroy Adair facility. You will oversee shipping, receiving, inventory moves, cycle counts, and site waste removal and recycling programs.
This position is key to maintaining compliance and supporting smooth warehouse operations. Shift: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM Location: Adair, ON 100% Onsite The Role Ensure the safe and compliant operation of the Strathroy Adair warehouses Arrange inbound and outbound freight requirements as needed Ensure required cycle counts are performed and discrepancies reconciled Accompany Quality Assurance on audits and assist with follow-up to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are met Provide back-up for Logistics and Customs documentation and resolve customs issues Ensure all inventory transactions are completed accurately and in real-time Supervise and manage documentation of inbound and outbound shipments Ensure compliance with all Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements Act as a competent person per Canadian Standards Association standard for lifting devices Complete Health and Safety hazard assessments Maintain records and other government-required documents Meet Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Transportation requirements for waste and hazardous waste shipments Ensure the Warehouse area is staffed appropriately for the level of activities required Maintain the Warehouse and all associated procedures in a perpetual state of Audit Readiness Comply with and ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices Work extended hours and weekends as needed, especially when problems occur or deadlines must be met Perform other duties as required The Candidate Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1+ years of shipping, receiving, and/or inventory control experience Experience working in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and/or Good Manufacturing Practice facility Able to work with minimal supervision while ensuring staff are suitably engaged Capable of operating related computer applications (e.g., JD Edwards, Word, Excel, and Outlook) Experience working within a supply chain environment, preferably in pharmaceutical or food industries Dynamic, proactive self-starter with a desire to improve performance through appropriate change management Passion for excellence, producing quality work, and ensuring delivery of excellent results Capable of obtaining a Forklift Operator Certificate Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production issues, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Operations, Supply Chain, and Facilities) Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and meet production schedules Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming Canadian equivalency as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada such as WES Currently Catalent participates in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on a limited basis While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.
Use of manual dexterity is required. The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, bend or twist, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent‑sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience. Preferred Skills & Background Post-secondary education is considered an asset Prior supervisory experience preferred Pay The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary within this range $70,000 – $82,000, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a global employer, and this salary range does not reflect positions that work in other countries.
