Position Summary
The Project Maintenance Technician is a specialized, hands-on technical position responsible for providing technical support and leading maintenance, repair, and equipment improvement activities to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency in a regulated cGMP environment. The role includes managing machinery, electrical, mechanical, and control systems, as well as participating in continuous improvement initiatives and supporting critical operations.
Duties
- ✓Perform technical troubleshooting and problem resolution across multiple equipment types, technologies, and locations.
- ✓Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on critical equipment and evaluate effectiveness to identify and implement improvements.
- ✓Diagnose potential or actual equipment failures through observation, analysis, and the use of technical resources such as drawings, schematics, and operating data.
- ✓Implement corrective actions efficiently and in a timely manner.
- ✓Install, modify, and construct electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- ✓Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safe chemical handling practices.
- ✓Develop and implement work instructions to support less experienced technicians in performing maintenance activities.
- ✓Provide emergency maintenance support, including after-hours availability when required.
- ✓Support the development and management of spare parts programs.
- ✓Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, team recommendations, and audit responses.
- ✓Continuously expand technical knowledge through training, workshops, and review of technical documentation.
- ✓Train other technicians on basic repairs and operational procedures.
- ✓Comply with corporate policies, cGMP requirements, Lean principles, and organizational guidelines.
- ✓Support management and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience
Education Requirements
- ✓High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience
- ✓Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical or industrial maintenance.
Skills
Qualifications and Skills
- ✓Ability to read and interpret electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- ✓Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other control systems.
- ✓Experience using maintenance-related computer systems (work orders, inventory, downtime tracking).
- ✓Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- ✓Strong analytical skills and intermediate-level mathematical proficiency (ratios, basic algebra).
- ✓Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
- ✓Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- ✓Adaptability to changing responsibilities and business needs.
- ✓Adequate hearing ability to detect alarms and warning signals.
