The Attach & Train Programme is a structured talent development programme designed to build skilled talent for Singapore’s advanced biomedical manufacturing sector through practical, industry-based training that develops the technical skills and capabilities needed to support the industry’s current and future workforce needs.
As a Biotechnologist Trainee, your development will take place through a 15-month structured on-the-job training programme within our Biologics Manufacturing team. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support the production of complex, cell-based medicines under high quality and compliance standards, helping to ensure a safe and reliable supply of medicines to patients.
Due to the nature of the programme and its eligibility requirements, applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
What You’ll Do
- ✓Support cGMP manufacturing operations for biologics drug substance, working in accordance with required quality and safety standards, production schedules and plans.
Depending on your assigned area, you may support
- ✓Upstream – Vial thaw, inoculation, cell culture and recovery.
- ✓Downstream – Chromatography, filtration, ultrafiltration and final filling.
- ✓Central Services – Buffer and media preparation, autoclave, glasswash and cleaning processes, and sampling of raw materials.
- ✓Execute assigned manufacturing operations, including equipment cleaning, set-up and stream-specific activities.
- ✓Complete and review batch documentation for accuracy and completeness, and resolve documentation errors promptly.
- ✓Support shift operations and troubleshooting, and report anomalous processing events to the Lead Biotechnologist or Manufacturing Supervisor.
- ✓Maintain inventory, required training and overall plant readiness to support operations.
- ✓Identify improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
What You’ll Learn

- ✓Hands-on technical proficiency operating equipment and running processes within your assigned manufacturing stream.
- ✓Develop a strong foundation in batch documentation, quality/safety compliance and continuous improvement.
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- ✓Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing is an advantage.
- ✓Exposure to SAP, LIMS or MES through internships, projects or prior experience would be an advantage.
- ✓Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- ✓Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
