Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Intern-Process Excellence Labcorp is seeking an Intern-Process Excellence to join our team at in Shanghai, China.

Internship Details: Duration : 20 weeks, full-time/Onsite Dates of Internship : Dec 2026-May 2027 Compensation : Paid internship Eligibility : Final-year students who are expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred. However, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply. About Team: The PEx (Process Excellence) team drives business transformation and sustainable performance improvement through process optimization, Lean Six Sigma, data and analytics, process automation, AI and technology enablement.

The team partners with functions and sites to simplify and digitize processes, deliver measurable business value, and build scalable enterprise transformation capabilities. Support the development, maintenance, and regular enhancement of Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business reporting, data analysis, and visualization needs. Assist with data preparation, validation, and analysis, including data cleansing and basic reporting to support PEx initiatives and decision-making.

Support the implementation and maintenance of process automation solutions based on business needs, leveraging AI and available automation tools. Collaborate with PEx, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and support the delivery of digital and process improvement solutions. Support day-to-day PEx activities, including project coordination, data collection, documentation, and execution of process improvement initiatives.

You will gain hands-on experience across process improvement, analytics automation and project management while developing practical skills that prepare them for future careers. Process Improvement: Gain practical experience in Lean Six Sigma, process optimization, and continuous improvement. Digital & Analytics Skills: Build hands-on skills in Power BI, data analytics, and process automation.

Project & Stakeholder Management: Develop skills in project coordination, requirements gathering, communication, and stakeholder management. Business Impact & Career Development: Build skills in data, technology, and process improvement while developing careers in Analytics, AI, Automation, Process Improvement, and Project Management. Requirements: IT, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related technical background, with a strong interest in process improvement, automation, and digital transformation Proficient in Power BI, with basic data modeling, data visualization, and report design skills Familiar with or interested in process automation / RPA tools and workflow automation Basic understanding of AI concepts and AI-enabled productivity tools, with a strong interest in applying AI to process improvement and analytics Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and apply new digital tools quickly Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work effectively in a team environment Good spoken and listening English skills Minimum Qualifications: • Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative/technical Bachelor's degree program, with relevant coursework or experience in algorithms, data structures, programming, or computational methods.

3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) Preferred Qualifications: Minor in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Computer Science. Additional Job Standards: Good organization and multitasking ability.

Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Creative and self-motivated individuals who work collaboratively in a high-performance team environment.
