About the opportunity As a Specialist Supply Chain Materials Management, you will play a key role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials across our global supply chain network.
Through close collaboration with suppliers, contract manufacturers, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders, you will help maintain optimal inventory levels, support production continuity, and drive supply chain performance. This position offers the opportunity to combine analytical expertise, operational execution, and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic international environment. Your tasks include Manage material planning activities by reviewing and releasing purchase requisitions, monitoring material availability, and ensuring timely supply to support production requirements.
Maintain and optimize inventory levels through effective management of safety stock, cycle stock, and planning parameters while driving inventory improvement initiatives. Create, maintain, and manage purchase orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution throughout the procurement lifecycle. Collaborate with suppliers to monitor order fulfillment, delivery schedules, shipment performance, and forecast requirements to ensure reliable material supply.
Partner with contract manufacturers to coordinate material flow, capacity planning, and production support activities. Monitor supply risks, proactively manage material shortages, and coordinate escalation activities to minimize business impact. Conduct supply chain analyses, track key performance indicators, and contribute to projects focused on process optimization and operational excellence.
Your profile University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Foreign Trade, or a related discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in material planning, supply chain management, procurement, logistics, production planning, or a similar function. Hands-on experience with inventory management, supplier collaboration, and procurement processes within an international business environment.
Strong SAP knowledge, ideally including MM and PP modules; familiarity with SAP BW, APO, or S/4HANA is considered an advantage. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP and supply chain planning systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent English communication skills; German language skills are considered an advantage.
