About this Role

The Clinical Education Manager (CEM) is responsible for establishing and delivering high-impact clinical training programs that support customer needs, procedural adoption and strategic business initiatives. This role focuses on developing and executing educational opportunities for external clinicians, with an emphasis on advanced medical devices, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.

The CEM collaborates closely with local field teams and leadership to design and implement innovative, hands-on training programs that drive clinical excellence and long-term customer engagement across the ANZ region.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Design and deliver engaging clinical education programs that support customer needs and drive procedural adoption
  • Plan and coordinate hands-on training workshops, including faculty, venues, agendas and materials
  • Build strong relationships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and professional societies
  • Partner closely with sales, clinical development, leadership and field implementation teams to align training with business priorities
  • Identify training opportunities through customer insights and feedback
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring programs are executed on time and within budget
  • Monitor program effectiveness and support post-training adoption in the field
  • Develop and maintain strong product and procedural knowledge across key surgical specialties
  • Contribute to budget planning and manage expenses for education initiatives
  • Support the development and growth of faculty and training networks
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact
  • Travel across the ANZ region to support training programs and customer engagement
  • Develop and promote the Applied Medical brand and culture

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a clinical education, medical training
  • Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand healthcare systems and dynamics (preferred)
  • Strong experience working with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of surgical specialties and products including gynaecologic, colorectal, general, bariatric and/or urology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the ANZ region
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Planner, Teams and other relevant mediums
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel and work in the field throughout Australia and New Zealand regularly as required
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence and eligible to travel to the USA
