Job Description The Associate Director, Digital Marketing, Data & AI Lead is responsible for defining and delivering the technology strategy, roadmap and execution of Digital Marketing, Content, Web, Analytics and AI capabilities across Gilead's Ex-US Commercial organisation. This role serves as a strategic partner to Commercial, Medical and cross-functional stakeholders, driving digital and omni channel engagement, data-driven decision making and AI-enabled business transformation across global markets. The role will own the end-to-end lifecycle of Digital Marketing capabilities, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Content Management and Web platforms, ensuring scalable, compliant and business-focused solutions that enhance customer engagement and operational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include leading the implementation and continuous evolution of Marketing Automation, Veeva Vault PromoMats, digital content management and web capabilities; defining and delivering analytics and reporting solutions leveraging AWS, Databricks and enterprise data platforms; and enabling advanced insights to support business performance measurement and decision making. The position will also lead the identification, development and scaling of AI capabilities, including pre-MLR AI assisted reviews, AI-assisted content creation and agentic AI orchestration solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to embed AI into commercial processes while ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and compliance requirements.
The role requires strong strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and product ownership experience, with responsibility for demand management, roadmap development, vendor management, solution governance and delivery oversight. The individual will collaborate extensively with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Legal, Compliance and Enterprise IT teams to deliver innovative digital, data and AI solutions that drive measurable business value across Ex-US markets. Qualifications & Experience Extensive experience in Digital Marketing, Commercial Technology, Data & Analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Veeva Vault PromoMats, DAM, Sitecore. AWS, Databricks and modern digital platforms. Proven track record leading digital transformation and technology strategy in a global, matrixed environment.
Experience in DevOps, developing product roadmaps and managing complex cross-functional stakeholder relationships. Strong leadership, communication and vendor management skills with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
