Your Role
The Operations Team Lead for MilliporeSigma at the Milwaukee site will lead a team of staff working within the distribution environment, that engages in problem solving and performance management within the business area they are responsible for. Job duties include:
- ✓Shift hours: Monday – Friday 11:00am-7:00pm
- ✓Assists Supervisor and works in a lead technical capacity to maintain workflow in department
- ✓Provides training and operational support to the department
- ✓Maintains high-quality work environment by sharing knowledge and experiences so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level
- ✓Keeps supervisor informed of potential and/or existing concerns
- ✓Leads by example in performing core warehouse/packaging job elements by meeting or exceeding performance expectations, following health and safety guidelines, job accuracy, and following company and regulatory requirements
- ✓Participates in and supports the development and implementation of process improvement projects and leads test cycles to challenge current practices, improve system efficiency, enhance customer service, and maintain compliance
- ✓Posts, receives, scans, and distributes orders to lines and hoods by duration and schedule
- ✓Uses technical knowledge of products and acquired knowledge of state and federal regulations and business practices to respond to inquiries and determine if orders can be packaged/shipped safely and compliantly
- ✓Effectively uses reports and checks priorities to plan and coordinate orders to maintain high service levels
- ✓Troubleshoot problems within the department – including root cause analysis and development of solutions to avoid future occurrences
- ✓Assists with testing changes in systemic programs and operational processes
- ✓. File all documentation as required in designated area(s)
- ✓Ability to identify and correct discrepancies between applicable systems
- ✓Perform quality checks or audits to ensure procedures are being followed correctly
- ✓Follows all good distribution practices (GDP), where applicable
- ✓Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule
- ✓Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned
- ✓Member of the spill team or MERT
- ✓Ability to work overtime as needed, often on minimal notice
- ✓Coordinates with sales to meet customer requirements (Packaging)
- ✓Coordinates shipments and orders with external customers (Packaging)
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- ✓High school diploma or GED
- ✓2 + years of Distribution/Warehouse experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ✓3 +years of Quality Systems Management or Continuous Improvement experience
- ✓Experience operating PCs, printers, RF scanner, pallet jack, selecting carts, packing equipment (tape machines, etc.), and various cutting instruments
- ✓Knowledge of SAP, WMS, Word, Excel, Access, and Clipper-ship
- ✓Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
- ✓Knowledge of product flow throughout the packaging/warehousing process
- ✓Detail-oriented professional that can efficiently prioritize and execute given tasks under tight deadlines
- ✓A strong team player work ethic with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Obtain power equipment operators license in a specific functional area
- ✓Demonstrated problem-solving and team building skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people
RSREMD
Pay Range for this position: $28.00 - $43.00
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
