Role reports to: GER PESQ E DESENV Location: Latin America, Brazil, Sao Paulo, Sao Jose dos Campos Work Location: Hybrid What you will do The Junior Scientist R&D Materials will be part of our global R&D organization, responsible for leading chemical raw material projects across a diverse portfolio of marketed Latam products, ensuring business continuity, cost reduction and supply chain reliability through science. As a Junior Scientist, you will act as the technical leader for raw material qualification projects, coordinating technical aspects of projects, reporting metrics, and interacting with cross-functional global teams to deliver impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end qualification of alternate raw material suppliers to address supply and customer service challenges.
Conduct technical assessments, write comprehensive reports for assigned raw materials and evaluate the impact of raw material changes on different formulation types. Prioritize and manage multiple projects with varying business impact across the region. Identify and implement improvements opportunities.
Engage with cross-functional teams to coordinate projects of varying complexity. Track and report key metrics. Independently drive technical resolutions within defined timelines.
Perform batch formulations to assess raw material changes. Demonstrate agility and adaptability in dynamic environments. What we are looking for Required Qualifications Bachelor´s degree in Industrial Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering or related field Advanced in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications Experience in Research and Development or related areas in the Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical, Food or Chemical Industry; Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams; Ability to produce clear and accurate documentation; Experience in managing and executing technical projects; Ability to manage priorities successfully.
