A Day in the Life This role supports the Global Commercial Operations function, partnering with commercial leaders and cross-functional teams to improve sales effectiveness through territory alignment governance, reporting, and business insights. The team manages and maintains critical sales territory structures and customer hierarchy data that support commercial decision-making, field sales operations, and compensation processes across the organization.

This role will require 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

This position is responsible for territory alignment auditing, validation, and analysis for a large and complex commercial organization. The role combines detailed data review with business-facing analysis to ensure territory structures, customer hierarchies, and commercial reporting accurately support sales execution. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to translate commercial data into meaningful business rationale and recommendations for stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities Lead territory alignment auditing, validation, and research activities across enterprise commercial teams, ensuring accuracy and consistency of territory assignments and customer hierarchy data. Analyze large datasets to identify alignment issues, data discrepancies, business impacts, and opportunities for process improvement. Maintain and enhance Excel-based tools, audit processes, and reporting methods that support territory management and commercial operations workflows.

Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Compensation, and other stakeholders to evaluate territory changes and support business decision-making. Prepare recurring reports and analyses that communicate key findings, risks, trends, and recommendations to commercial leadership. Support territory planning and maintenance activities for a customer hierarchy consisting of more than 23,000 accounts.

Conduct business requirements gathering and voice-of-customer analysis to help improve commercial processes, reporting, and operational effectiveness. Monitor data quality and recommend solutions that strengthen reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and governance standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in sales operations, business analysis, commercial operations, finance, reporting, analytics, or a related business function.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and large dataset analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience analyzing business data and translating findings into actionable commercial insights and recommendations.

Experience managing detailed, process-driven work requiring a high degree of accuracy and quality control. Experience supporting territory alignment, territory management, sales operations, customer hierarchy management, or sales compensation processes. Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or similar business intelligence and reporting tools as an end user.

Understanding of field sales organizations, sales performance metrics, forecasting, and commercial reporting. Experience gathering business requirements and incorporating stakeholder feedback into process improvements. PR) locations (USD):$68,000.00 - $102,000.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
