Job Description The Senior Medical Director for Breast Cancer will report to the Executive Director, US Medical Affairs, Oncology and assume a key role within the US Medical Affairs organization. The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs plans and leadership and direction of a cross-functional Medical Affairs team in support of the strategic planning and life cycle management of marketed and in-development products in the breast cancer therapeutic area. Serving as the subject matter expert, the Senior Medical Director will provide strategic insight to shape the future vision of the breast cancer treatment landscape to inform the development program and commercial opportunity assessment.

This role will provide direction and support to internal colleagues (development, sales, marketing, regulatory, and clinical), resolve medical issues, and own the development of the medical narrative, field, and training materials to ensure high strategic and scientific standards. The Senior Medical Director will lead strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders and professional societies in Oncology and represent Medical Affairs externally through presentations at advisory boards, key scientific meetings, and interactions with our key investigators. This role will work collaboratively with Jazz’s development partners or alliance partners as needed.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities ​ Responsible for providing US priorities and insights to inform and influence the development plan and study design and execution for all breast cancer research ​Responsible for aligning with GMSA and the development organization on prioritized analyses, interpretation and publication of evidence from pivotal trials in support of the US strategy ​Responsible for supporting label development and negotiations for indications ​Responsible for the development, execution and management of the medical strategy for breast cancer indications from launch through lifecycle ​Responsible for partnership with Commercial counterparts to derive brand plans ​Responsible for Medical and Promotional Review committee ​Responsible for partnership with GMSA organization to align on evidence generation needs and support execution of studies in partnership w HEOR, GV, RWE ​Act as SME in breast cancer in support of cross functional initiatives including Commercial, BD, Communications, IR, and Advocacy Strategy ​Responsible for identifying new opportunities to fully enable the oncology care community to deliver the best care with Jazz assets ​ ​Required/Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ​ 10 + years of Medical Affairs or equivalent experience is required Experience in the delivery of oncology care is preferred​ ​Experience in the launch and lifecycle management of oncology indications in breast cancer is strongly desired ​Outstanding verbal and written communication skills ​Demonstrated ability to influence without authority ​Evidence of success in matrix organizations and track record of high performing behaviors, including independent critical thinking, initiative, and execution under time pressure with competing priorities ​Self-awareness and emotional intelligence as demonstrated by prior experience navigating complex matrix environments successfully ​ Required/​Preferred Education and Licenses ​An advanced degree is required (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, Doctor of Nursing, Physician’s Assistant) ​ #LI-Remote Jazz Pharmaceuticals is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any characteristic protected by law. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $268,000.00 - $402,000.00 Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors.

The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz’s Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
