Position Summary
The primary focus of the Quality Control Associate is to support QC testing for in-process, final product, stability samples and for supporting environmental and facility monitoring. May assist with documentation updates, deviations, investigations and continuous improvement efforts.
Duties/Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Perform routine testing of in-process, final product and stability samples.
- ✓Perform environmental/facilities monitoring and microbiological testing.
- ✓May review GMP documentation and perform data verification.
- ✓Perform document revision.
- ✓Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- ✓Support document revision, deviations, CAPA’s and investigations.
- ✓May train analysts on general job duties.
- ✓Perform other tasks as assigned.
Reporting Relationship
Report to shift 3 QC Manager, Microbiology.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- ✓Bachelor’s degree preferred in science. Associate degree with equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- ✓0-2+ years of relevant microbiological or QC experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
- ✓Demonstrated experience in microbiological techniques and basic laboratory safety procedures.
- ✓Prior experience with microbiological techniques is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- ✓Ability to accurately and completely understand and follow procedures.
- ✓Apply scientific principles to QC testing and the proper use of laboratory equipment.
- ✓Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management about task status, roadblocks, and needs.
- ✓Attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills.
- ✓Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
