Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Associate Director / Director to lead business development activities.

This is a hunter-oriented sales role for someone who is energized by finding new opportunities, opening doors, developing relationships, and converting prospects into customers.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, persistent, commercially driven, and hungry to win. You should be comfortable prospecting for new business, making the first contact, developing relationships with decision-makers, managing opportunities through the sales cycle, negotiating commercial terms, and closing deals.

We are looking for someone who does not give up when faced with challenges, takes ownership of results, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to build the business.

This is a remote/field-based position. As BIB continues to expand its global presence and establishes additional offices, occasional travel to domestic and international offices may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation & New Business Development

Develop and execute a proactive strategy to identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities in allocated East coast territory.

Use industry databases, LinkedIn, web research, conferences, referrals, and other resources to identify potential customers and decision-makers.

Proactively contact prospective customers, initiate conversations, and secure new business meetings.

Leverage your existing biopharmaceutical network and relationships to generate new opportunities for BIB.

Develop opportunities from initial contact through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.

Meet or exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.

Drive revenue growth through effective sales presentations, relationship management, and successful deal closure.

Build a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline that supports BIB’s long-term growth.

Maintain accurate and timely information in Salesforce and provide sales reports and forecasts to management as required.

Sales Strategy & Account Development

Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and introduce additional BIB services.

Develop strategic accounts and build long-term partnerships with customers.

Understand customer needs and position BIB’s capabilities and solutions accordingly.

Strategic Business Development

Identify new markets, customers, technologies, and business opportunities aligned with BIB/ BiBo Pharma’s growth strategy.

Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments.

Provide management with actionable market intelligence and recommendations.

Help shape BIB’s commercial strategy and market positioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with R&D, CMC, Operations, Project Management, and Marketing teams to develop effective customer solutions.

Coordinate internally to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and opportunities move efficiently through the sales process.

Represent the voice of the customer within BIB.

Sales Presentations & Proposals

Deliver compelling presentations to prospective and existing customers.

Lead customer discussions and clearly communicate BIB’s technical and commercial value proposition.

Work with internal technical and commercial teams to prepare proposals, quotations, and statements of work.

Participate in contract and commercial negotiations as required.

Conferences, Tradeshows & Industry Events

Identify high-value conferences, tradeshows, partnering events, and industry meetings that can generate business opportunities.

Represent BIB’s at conferences, customer meetings, and industry events.

Arrange and conduct customer meetings before, during, and after industry events.

Help increase brand awareness, visibility, and reputation throughout the biopharmaceutical market.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

8+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a transferable commercial role within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry.

Experience working with CRO, CMO, or CDMO organizations is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience selling complex technical or scientific services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

An established network of contacts within the biopharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.

Demonstrated success generating new business and delivering measurable revenue growth.

Strong hunter mentality with the ability and willingness to proactively identify and pursue new opportunities.

Highly self-motivated, disciplined, persistent, and results-oriented.

Comfortable with prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and opening new accounts.

Strong understanding of complex B2B sales cycles and consultative selling.

Proven ability to negotiate and close complex commercial opportunities.

Must be a green card holder or a US citizen and must be located on the eastern states of the US.
