Labcorp is seeking a Trainee Scientist to join our team at Harrogate, North Yorkshire Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37hrs Job Responsibilities: Preparation of formulations and materials for use in other laboratory areas to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) compliant systems, including proper and controlled use of any necessary equipment and performance of relevant sterility and quality control checks Maintaining lab cleanliness, supplies and tidiness (cleaning, calibrations, reagent prep and disposal, waste disposal (etc.) Maintaining laboratory equipment and equipment records within laboratory areas Accurate recording and data checking Meeting production deadlines required by customers both internally and externally Acknowledging safe receipt of a test compound to the client within 24 hours of arrival within the department Minimum Qualification s: Degree in Biomedical science, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry Additional Job Standards: Knowledge and understanding of GLP and aseptic techniques Excellent attention to detail Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information Ability to perform mathematical calculations Familiarity with standard spreadsheet and word-processing software applications Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills We are looking for a Trainee Scientist who will be ablet to develop your existing lab skills, cross-train in different laboratories and gain a wide variety of skills, plus you can experience world renowned research techniques.
