Job Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Project and Contract Administration Set up projects and contracts accurately within financial and project management systems. Review contract documentation and ensure project structures align with contractual terms and billing requirements.
Update contract values, funding modifications, and project financial attributes as needed. Partner with Contracts, GDM, Sales Operations, and Salesforce teams to ensure opportunities and projects are established and activated in a timely manner. Validate that revenue recognition methodologies are properly configured and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Revenue Recognition and Financial Analysis Maintain project revenue trackers and ensure accurate revenue recognition calculations. Review monthly project financial data to validate revenue, costs, funding, and profitability. Analyze project performance and identify variances requiring corrective action.
Research and resolve unbilled receivable and deferred revenue balances. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for month-end and quarter-end close activities. Assist with the preparation and posting of revenue-related journal entries, as required.
Project Reconciliation and Closeout Perform regular project reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness. Investigate discrepancies related to labor, revenue, costs, funding, and billing. Coordinate project closure activities and verify all financial obligations have been completed.
Ensure final revenue, billing, and cost reconciliations are completed prior to project closeout. Labor and Timecard Review Review employee and contractor timecards for accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Make necessary adjustments to labor allocations to support accurate project costing and revenue recognition.
Validate labor charges against project budgets, contract terms, and revenue calculations. Intercompany Financial Management Manage intercompany work orders and related financial transactions. Coordinate approvals, signatures, and execution of intercompany agreements.
Monitor intercompany activity to ensure compliance with company policies and accurate financial reporting. Business Partnership and Operational Support Serve as a finance business partner to Consulting Operations teams. Educate project managers and operational leaders on revenue recognition, project setup requirements, and financial best practices.
Provide guidance on project structures to ensure accurate billing, costing, and revenue reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve project financial processes and controls. Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
