THE POSITION Drive sustainable growth in the Pets business through strategic distributor partnerships and commercial excellence. As the Key Account Manager, Sub-Distributors (Pets), you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing strategic sub-distributor partnerships to achieve sales, market share, and profitability objectives. You will act as the primary commercial interface between Boehringer Ingelheim and assigned partners, leading joint business planning, commercial negotiations, performance management, and route-to-market execution.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure effective channel management, operational excellence, and compliance while enabling sustainable business growth across the Philippine pet healthcare market. Tasks & Responsibilities Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with assigned sub-distributors to achieve sales, market share, profitability, and growth objectives. Lead distributor performance management through business reviews, forecasting, inventory monitoring, and execution of corrective action plans.
Define and implement channel strategies, route-to-market initiatives, and customer coverage plans to maximize growth opportunities and execution excellence. Manage commercial negotiations, contracts, trade investments, and partner governance while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Build strong strategic relationships with sub-distributor leadership and collaborate cross-functionally to align business priorities and deliver commercial outcomes.
Drive market intelligence, identify growth opportunities and risks, and support product launches and business development initiatives to strengthen competitive positioning. About our Future Employee Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; Degree in Veterinary Medicine or Animal Science is an advantage. MBA or Master's degree is an advantage but not required.
Minimum 5 years of sales, commercial, or account management experience, including at least 3 years in distributor, channel partner, or key account management. Strong knowledge of distributor management, route-to-market strategy, customer business planning, forecasting, and commercial execution. Proven track record in achieving sales targets, managing strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable business growth.
Strong negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills within a matrix organization. Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, inventory management, and data-driven decision-making.
