As part of the team, whether providing analysis, forecasting, or reporting financial information, your application of accurate financial business practices will play a fundamental role in how we impact the quality of life for patients all over the world. How you’ll make an impact: Apply professional expertise and judgment to support cost accounting activities and business outcomes Analyze and interpret complex monthly accounting results for inventory related sales, including intercompany profit elimination reporting and allocations claims, analyzing inventory obsolescence and write off by working with Supply Chain and other stakeholders. Provide insights and make recommendations regarding possible course corrections Draw findings from financial trend reports, synthesize information, and create presentations for management Partner with Supply Chain leaders to advise on financial impact of recent/proposed process changes Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and maintain product standard cost in ERP system; gathering data and generating reports in support of manufacturing trend analysis Assess system capabilities and process efficiencies, and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades Assist in compliance activities (e.g., SOX, key and internal controls, physical inventory) Other incidental duties What you'll need (Required): Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, 5 years experience of previous related experience Required and Experience working in a large manufacturing company Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) experience Good understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting processes What else we look for (Preferred): Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills Substantial knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to corporate accounting Substantial understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Substantial knowledge of financial concepts and principles Expertise in own functional area and ability to coach others in various functional areas impacted within the business Ability to manage confidential information with discretion Strict attention to detail Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work and perform within a metrics organization and with OUS Plants Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the department on projects Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
