Job Responsibility: Drive the design and continuous improvement of a strategic and comprehensive BI TCM data protection governance.
Consistently anticipate developments and trends and plans to deal with their implications. Perform leadership role in assessing business partner strategies and identifying opportunities on data protection and AI compliance governance. Manage and lead data protection colleagues in China and Legal and Compliance colleagues of Taiwan and Hong Kong on the implementation of data protection and AI compliance governance programs in TCM.
Set strategic direction and prioritizes work for the team, focusing on improving productivity, efficiency and results. Lead the roll out of the global AI compliance governance framework in TCM, and establish TCM AI compliance governance framework according global guidance and local laws and regulations. Provides strategic advice and technical expertise to business leaders on key initiatives.
Drives strategic resolution of issues on critical matters. Well educate local and Corporate stakeholders on China data protection and AI compliance laws and regulations. Monitor the existing and emerging laws and regulations with regard to data protection and AI compliance, communicate with related government authorities to understand the most recent data protection and AI law developments, and advise related functions and Corporate on the interpretation, implications and opportunities for the company's operations; closely work with Industrial Associations (e.g.: RDPAC, EUCCC, German Chambers) on data protection and AI legislation comments.
Effectively engage with Corporate Data Protection Officer and act as a key contributor to enrich global data protection and AI compliance governance framework strategy. Develop and review data-related legal documents and templates, e.g.: privacy notice, data transfer agreements, data protection clauses, etc. Provide data protection advices to key stakeholders of all businesses and functions.
Job Requirement: Bachelor degree or above; legal or international education background is preferred. Over 10 years experience in a reputable law firm, audit firm or comparable legal or compliance in-house working experience in a reputable multi-national company or leading domestic company, experiences in data protection, AI governance or life science areas are preferred; PRC legal Qualification and data protection qualification are preferred; Has broad perspective and vision. Consistently, proactively mitigates and resolves issues and plans long range solutions.
Capable of devising breakthrough strategies and plans. Expert of PRC data protection and AI governance law, sound business acumen and commercial awareness; Possesses excellent, creative problem-solving skills demonstrating significant knowledge of the business and an ability to balance legal risk with business impact. Comfortable making decisions based on incomplete information.
Strong aptitude for filtering decisions through organizational strategy. Excellent, persuasive written and oral communication skills required, including an ability to effectively and concisely communicate to and influence business leaders. Displays excellent judgment and discretion with respect to all communications.
Computer literacy, familiar with all Microsoft applications; Manages complex legal matters and projects. Has developed strong relationships with and influences senior level business partners. Proactively identifies business issues, risks, trends and strategies.
Successfully manages cross-functional teams and projects, driving much of the work for which she is responsible through others. Sets strategic direction and prioritizes work for the team, focusing on improving productivity, efficiency and results. Overtime identifies opportunities and drives implementation of measures designed to further long term interests of the Company.
