Your Role

This position is ideal for accounting professionals with strong expertise and passion for IFRS-based financial reporting and group accounting. The Company is expanding its Group Accounting function with the establishment of a new centre of excellence in India. This presents an exceptional opportunity to apply your IFRS accounting knowledge from day one in a dynamic, performance-driven environment of a global, publicly-listed pharmaceutical and chemical company.

As Senior Expert, Group Accounting, you will be part of our Group Accounting division. You will develop a deep understanding of our organization, consolidation requirements, and the financial reporting standards applicable to an international, publicly traded enterprise.

Our Group Accounting function prepares the consolidated financial statements, acts as a global Centre of Excellence for complex accounting topics, and supports the continuous improvement of group-wide financial reporting processes

In this challenging and diverse role, you will

  • Support the assessment and resolution of complex IFRS accounting matters and consolidation topics.
  • Contribute to financial reporting for capital markets and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and quality assurance of consolidated financial statements.
  • Collaborate on global financial reporting projects as part of a distributed, international team.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of group-wide accounting and reporting processes.

Who You Are

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from a recognized university, with specialization in IFRS accounting. Certified Accountant (ICAI, CPA, CMA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of professional experience in group accounting, consolidation, or financial reporting at an international corporation or Big four audit firm.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS standards, combined with strong practical experience applying them.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Goal-oriented work style and have a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively and enjoy working collaboratively in an international team.
  • Results-oriented mindset with commitment to efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Business-level fluency in English.
