Portfolio Governance & Financial Excellence Lead, Enterprise Solutions Location: Hyderabad, India Join Lonza's Global IT organization as a Portfolio Governance & Financial Excellence Lead, Enterprise Solutions , where you will play a critical role in enabling effective portfolio governance, financial stewardship, vendor oversight, and performance management across the Enterprise Solutions organization. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, finance partners, project teams, and external vendors to ensure strategic investments are governed effectively, resources are optimized, and enterprise initiatives deliver measurable business value. This is an office-first role.

What you will do Establish and maintain governance processes for the collection, evaluation, prioritization, and management of the Enterprise Solutions portfolio.
Drive transparency across the portfolio by tracking project status, milestones, risks, dependencies, resource utilization, and financial performance. Partner with Business Stakeholders, Project Managers, Functional Leads, and PMO teams to ensure portfolio alignment, data quality, and effective governance. Monitor strategic IT initiatives and transformation programs, providing leadership visibility through portfolio dashboards, governance reviews, and performance reporting.
Identify portfolio risks, issues, and interdependencies and facilitate timely escalation and resolution. Lead financial planning activities for Enterprise Solutions, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and cost management. Manage and maintain budget tracking across projects, applications, operational expenditures, software licensing, contracts, and external services.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve transparency, optimize spending, and maximize business value. Partner closely with Finance, Controlling, Procurement, and IT Leadership to align budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures. Track financial benefits and support value realization reporting for strategic initiatives and investment programs.
Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, governance requirements, and internal controls. Coordinate vendor-related activities, including contract renewals, purchase requests, invoice oversight, software licensing reviews, and performance management. Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Management functions to optimize vendor relationships, commercial agreements, and service outcomes.
Support sourcing activities and commercial negotiations through financial analysis and performance insights. Define, implement, and monitor success metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards for the Enterprise Solutions organization. Develop executive reporting and management communications for IT Leadership, CIO stakeholders, and governance committees.
Translate complex portfolio, financial, and operational data into meaningful and actionable business insights. Prepare executive presentations, business reviews, steering committee materials, and strategic communications. Utilize advanced analytical capabilities to support trend analysis, forecasting, scenario modelling, and decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement of reporting standards, automation opportunities, and data visualization capabilities. Develop and enhance governance frameworks, operating procedures, and management practices that improve organizational effectiveness. Support cross-functional strategic initiatives and enterprise transformation programs.
Act as a trusted advisor to Enterprise Solution leaders, Value Stream Leads, Process Delivery Leads, and senior business stakeholders. What we are looking for Proven experience in portfolio governance, PMO leadership, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or enterprise IT governance roles. Strong understanding of portfolio management, project governance, investment planning, and value realization practices.
Experience managing budgets, operational expenditures, software licensing, vendor contracts, and financial controls within complex organizations. Demonstrated ability to develop governance frameworks, reporting standards, and management processes that support strategic decision-making. Experience creating executive dashboards, performance scorecards, KPIs, and leadership presentations.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and reporting. Strong PowerPoint and executive communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. Experience working with financial management, portfolio management, reporting, and data visualization tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation capabilities. Proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders, business stakeholders, finance teams, and external partners in a global environment. Experience working with vendor management, procurement processes, and commercial negotiations is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills with the ability to influence across multiple functions and levels.
