A Day in the Life The Local Marketing team partners closely with Sales, Clinical, Market Development, and Western Europe Marketing teams to drive market growth, strengthen customer engagement, and support the successful adoption of Medtronic therapies across the Nordic region. The function is responsible for translating regional business strategies into locally relevant marketing initiatives, educational programs, customer activities, and commercial execution plans that address market needs and support business objectives.

As a Local Marketing Specialist, you will support the development and execution of marketing strategies and business initiatives across the Nordic region. Working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and key stakeholders, you will help identify growth opportunities, generate market insights, and execute programs that increase customer engagement and support business performance. This position is a remote role based within the Nordic region, supporting multiple markets and stakeholders across the territory.

The role requires regular travel of up to 50% to customer sites, meetings, events, and internal business activities throughout the Nordics. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Develop and execute local marketing plans aligned with Western Europe business objectives and market priorities across the Nordic region. Analyse market dynamics, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and support business planning.

Partner with Sales, Clinical, and Western Europe marketing teams to drive customer engagement initiatives, educational programs, and commercial campaigns. Support the evaluation of new business opportunities, product introductions, and market expansion initiatives through business case development and market analysis. Coordinate cross-functional projects and ensure effective execution of marketing activities, timelines, and deliverables.

Monitor and assess the effectiveness of marketing programs, providing insights and recommendations to improve business performance. Build relationships with healthcare professionals, key customers, and internal stakeholders to gather market feedback and strengthen customer engagement. Communicate project status, results, and market insights to relevant stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant experience in marketing, business development, product management, commercial operations, or healthcare related business functions. Experience supporting the development and execution of marketing plans, commercial initiatives, or business growth programs. Experience analysing market data, customer insights, or business performance metrics to support decision-making.

Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English as well as one Nordic language. Ability to travel up to 50% across the Nordic region. Experience within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry would be welcome as would experience working across multiple countries or supporting regional commercial organizations.

Knowledge of healthcare market dynamics, customer pathways, and reimbursement environments within the Nordic region or experience managing cross-functional projects and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders would be an advantage, as would proficiency in marketing analytics, business planning, and customer engagement tools.
