Overview
The Senior Territory Account Manager is a non-overtime eligible position that requires an experienced sales professional to cover a designated territory and manage corporate accounts. The Senior Territory Account Manager reports directly to the National Sales Manager and is responsible for selling products, managing accounts, and providing troubleshooting and diagnostic services.
The salary range for this position is $137,500 to $231,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and other factors in accordance with applicable laws.
Essential Functions
- ✓Create yearly revenue growth by focusing on designated Corporate Accounts within the territory.
- ✓Must grow and maintain diagnostic test kit business in defined geographic territories by planning and conducting cold calls, and emails to prospects and customers.
- ✓Manage all sales-related administrative duties, such as entering leads into the CRM database and submitting expense reports, call activity reports, quotations, and sales contracts.
- ✓Review sales reports to assess customer activity.
- ✓Planning sales and business development opportunities, including supporting local sales and service teams.
- ✓Personally contacts and secures major new business accounts at the corporate level.
- ✓Must support all aspects of the products including product firmware, software, and other technical aspects of the product.
- ✓Travel up to 50% within assigned territory. Sales team support may be required outside the territory. Trade show participation is required.
- ✓Works closely to provide updates to the marketing department on competitive situations.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Food/Life Science/Agricultural Business or equivalent.
- ✓5-10 years of sales experience.
- ✓Knowledge of food, beverage, and feed chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, and/or agricultural practice.
- ✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- ✓Organized, disciplined, and self-motivated worker.
- ✓Must be able to work the department’s schedule Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., hours/days may vary including occasional weekends depending on business and customer needs.
- ✓Must possess a valid driver’s license and valid passport.
- ✓Travel up to 50% throughout the assigned multi-state territory to support customers and business operations.
- ✓Candidates must reside in Orange County, California, or Arizona to effectively service the assigned territory.
Preferred
- ✓Quality Assurance, HACCP, ISO, and marketing experience.
- ✓Quality certifications, and regulatory, or inspectional experience.
- ✓Skilled with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- ✓GMP/GLP Experience.
Physical Requirements
- ✓The position is based out of a home office; requires travel up to 50% with some instances requiring extended overnight stays.
- ✓The person in this position frequently communicates with distributors and customers who have inquiries about the product, invoice, or shipping confirmation. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- ✓Occasionally must be able to lift 45 pounds, as well as handle travel gear.
- ✓Constantly operates general office equipment as well as operates and demonstrates company equipment.
- ✓The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- ✓Due to required travel this position may experience weather and temperature fluctuations.
- ✓High levels of stress often occur; must be able to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
