US Oncology Forecasting Manager Location: RTP/Durham (NC), Philadelphia (PA), Waltham (MA) Are you a leader in Forecasting and passionate about improving the lives of patients with cancer? In this role, you will be providing forecasting support for in-line and launching products in the Oncology Business Unit.
This role will have high visibility and the opportunity to work closely with cross functional partners including Finance, Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Supply Chain and other functions, and report to Director, Oncology Forecasting. This role requires strong methodological and conceptual skills, attention to detail, and proactive and effective stakeholder management. This role will provide you the opportunity to build your expertise in forecasting, commercial insights, and pharmaceutical business acumen to progress your career.
Key Responsibilities: In partnership with the various stakeholders to develop, document, and maintain US Forecast for Oncology launching asset(s) and indication(s), including launch planning support Evaluate market trends, competitor product landscape and competitive positioning as part of US Forecast development Support key in-line Oncology assets to enhance, update, and maintain financial and manufacturing volume forecasts Develop, document and present US Forecast, assumptions, opportunities and risks, to multiple management levels Collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders in Oncology Business Unit and across the enterprise, including Marketing, Commercial Insight, Supply, Finance, Managed Market teams as well as Global Oncology counterparts; support senior management requests The Oncology Forecasting Manager role will work along-side multiple teams, and requires strong influencing, communication, and negotiation skills, in addition to a combination of strong technical quantitative and qualitative competences in order to effectively communicate forecasting assumptions and modeling characteristics. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BS/BA degree in life science or with a quantitative focus in business, finance, statistics, economics, or any related fields 5+ years in forecasting, commercial analytics, commercial finance, or BD functions in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or relevant consulting experience Utilizing and maintaining financial, analytics or gross sales forecast models. Experience collaborating and working across a matrix environment. MS Excel working with substantial amounts of data, financial and/or analytical data modeling involving multiple inputs and MS PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Oncology, Immunology, or Specialty experience preferred Proficient using Patient, Rx and other secondary audits, and epidemiology databases to develop epi-based forecasting models Proficiency in MS PowerPoint Proficiency in MS Excel working with substantial amounts of data, financial and/or analytical data modeling involving multiple inputs Strong analytical skills Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple conflicting priorities Demonstrated communication and presentation skills Graduate degree in Business (MBA), in Science (M.Sc) (incl.
Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, or in Finance/ Economics (M. Econ.) or related Experience providing clear and concise messaging to multiple management levels Proficient developing patient flow models Strong knowledge of oncology data sources preferred Proficient experience in excel programming Proficient understanding of current and future pharmaceutical market drivers, competitive environment, and treatment algorithms in oncology therapeutic area Experience managing external suppliers in support of necessary projects Strong business acumen and collaboration skills Proficient in identifying, applying and adapting analogs, benchmarks and order of entry models #LI-GSK Skills Business Acumen, Data to Insights, Digital Fluency, Influencing Without Authority, Problem Solving, Project Management, Sales Performance, Scientific Literacy • If you are based in Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges $141,075 to $235,125. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role.
In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
