Job Description: FERRING GmbH is the German manufacturing company of the internationally operating and rapidly growing FERRING Group. FERRING + You As Director, Product & Project Management Office (PPMO) (m/f/d), you will turn site strategy into a clear, executable product and project portfolio for Ferring GmbH in Kiel. You will connect people, priorities, resources and decisions to enable reliable delivery for patients and the business. Based in Kiel, you will lead PPMO, portfolio governance, resource prioritization, product lifecycle oversight and cross-functional decision-making.
A strategic leadership role connecting local portfolio delivery with Global PMO governance, standards and planning. Your contribution to making a meaningful impact Strategic Product, Project & Portfolio Management Lead the local product and project portfolio, ensuring transparency on priorities, value, risks and resource needs. Drive portfolio decisions that balance strategic objectives, lifecycle priorities and capacity.
Own the local portfolio intake process and align investments with site and TechOps priorities. Ensure business cases and investment proposals include clear value, risk and resource considerations. Project Governance & PMO Excellence Maintain an effective project governance framework, including Project Boards, portfolio reviews, decision forums and escalation processes.
Use portfolio KPIs, dashboards and executive reporting to support transparent decision-making and delivery performance. Ensure consistent application of governance standards, stage-gate requirements and CAPEX processes. Act as advisor and escalation point for complex or high-risk projects.
Product Lifecycle, Risk Management and Continuous Improvement Apply ICH Q8–Q10, QbD, CPV and risk management principles to strengthen lifecycle oversight. Oversee lifecycle initiatives including technology transfers, stability programs and post-approval changes. Apply product and process knowledge to drive risk mitigation and lifecycle decisions.
Use product and process insights to guide risk mitigation, improvement and control strategy decisions. Support audits, inspections, regulatory submissions and complex investigations. People Leadership Lead, develop and coach the local PPMO organization.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Leadership & Global Governance Partner closely with Global PMO on governance, standards, tools and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide transparency on site demand, priorities and resource capacity to support global portfolio planning.
Represent the Kiel site perspective in global governance discussions and framework development. Serve as senior PPMO partner to site leadership and facilitate cross-functional decision-making across Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, R&D, CMC and Commercial functions. Significant experience in project, program, portfolio and/or product lifecycle management. Proven success in portfolio governance, prioritization, resource allocation and executive decision-making. Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, technology transfers, post-approval changes and CMC-related activitie Experience working with enterprise PPM systems and global PMO organizations.
