Job Description About the Role The Key Account Manager (KAM) – Gastroenterology in Andalucía is a critical field-based role responsible for ensuring business continuity, growth and customer engagement across key hospital accounts in the East region .
The role builds strong, compliant and trust-based relationships with HCPs, hospital pharmacies and decision-makers, ensuring optimal use and availability of Takeda’s GI portfolio. Evolving under a Tech Forward lens , the KAM GI leverages digital tools, AI-supported insights and omnichannel approaches to increase efficiency, sharpen account prioritization and enhance the quality of scientific and commercial interactions—reinvesting time into strategic account planning, customer value creation and cross-functional collaboration. How You Will Contribute Therapy & Product Leadership Deliver agreed GI strategy and tactics across key accounts, ensuring high-quality scientific exchange (on-label) and commercial execution.
Lead high-level scientific meetings and act as a trusted therapy partner for prescribers and hospital stakeholders. Serve as a key contact for national product training and therapy support within the assigned territory. Strategic Account Management Develop and execute robust key account plans, prioritizing accounts based on data-driven insights and market dynamics.
Ensure product availability and continuity in collaboration with Market Access and Pharmacy stakeholders. Identify unmet needs and propose innovative, compliant solutions aligned with customer priorities. Commercial Excellence & Data-Driven Execution Analyze sales performance, competitor activity and territory trends using CRM, dashboards and AI-supported analytics.
Continuously adapt strategies based on insights, focusing effort on the highest-impact accounts and opportunities. Share best practices and successful tactics within the KAM team to improve overall field effectiveness. Innovation, Omnichannel & Tech Forward Adoption Integrate omnichannel tactics and digital engagement into account plans in alignment with brand strategy.
Use AI-enabled tools to support customer segmentation, call planning, insight generation and performance tracking. Automate low-value administrative tasks (reporting, data consolidation) to reinvest time in strategic thinking, customer engagement and storytelling. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Medical, Market Access, Pharmacy, Marketing and FLMs to ensure a coordinated One Takeda approach.
Actively contribute field insights to inform brand, access and medical strategies. Compliance & Values Act in full compliance with ethical, legal and regulatory standards. Ensure PTRB principles guide decision-making.
Report adverse events according to Pharmacovigilance procedures. Act as a role model of Takeda values and leadership behaviors. Skills & Qualifications (Aligned with Tech Forward Evolution) Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Proven experience in hospital sales, ideally in GI / Immunology. Experience working with hospital pharmacists, payers and institutional stakeholders. Core Capabilities Strong scientific acumen and ability to translate complex data into meaningful customer dialogue.
Excellent relationship-building, influence and communication skills. Strong business acumen and analytical mindset. Digital fluency: CRM, dashboards, AI-supported tools and omnichannel platforms.
