Operations Engineering · Everett, Washington · Full-time

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Partners across: R&D, Production, and Service (Repair & Calibration)

SECTION 1

Why should you join Fluke Health Solutions – Everett Ops

Everett Operations is intentionally transforming how engineering supports the factory – moving from reactive, daily firefighting to a preventive, capability-driven model. This position would be a developing test engineer supporting an assigned product cell, added to relieve the overallocated test-engineering coverage. Builds first-pass-yield and test-development depth under the guidance of senior engineers and the Principal/Metrologist.

SECTION 2

What this role entails

  • Support test development and fixture maintenance for assigned products.
  • Execute yield-troubleshooting and data analysis under general supervision.
  • Support, maintain and improve test systems throughout the factory.
  • Assist sustaining and NPI test activities for the cell.
  • Document test methods and contribute to CAPA investigations. Validate test stations per existing processes and document accordingly.
  • Apply FBS Standard Work; participate in Kaizen.
  • Ensure conformance to the ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR 820 quality system.

Fortive Business System Expectations

  • Live the Fortive Business System: Kaizen, Standard Work, Problem Solving (root-cause to countermeasure), and Daily Management.
  • Use visual management and data to drive decisions; sustain improvements rather than re-solve.
  • Contribute to the function's continuous-improvement cadence and transactional/process Kaizen.

Job Leveling - Scope & Expectations

Knowledge & Expertise: Applies established engineering principles, standards, and procedures to defined problems. Building functional depth in the assigned discipline.

Complexity & Problem-Solving: Solves problems of limited-to-moderate scope using prescribed methods; analyzes defined situations with established precedent.

Autonomy & Supervision: Works under general supervision; receives detailed instruction on new work and guidance on most tasks. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and accuracy.

Impact & Scope: Decisions affect own assignments and the immediate work cell; errors are typically contained and detected within the cell.

Influence & Interaction: Interacts primarily within the team and assigned cell; explains information to peers and technicians.

Adjacent levels: Growth path to Engineer II (P16) as autonomy, problem complexity, and cell ownership increase.

SECTION 3

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred).
  • 0-3 years of engineering experience (internship/co-op counts).
  • Foundational test, measurement, data-analysis, and metrology skills. Good understanding of analog and digital based circuitry and ability to read schematics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to automated test or LabVIEW
  • Root cause analysis experience using various problem-solving methodologies.
  • Interest in medical device manufacturing.
  • Experience with Quality Management systems in a highly regulated industry. Knowledge of ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR 820 requirements is a plus.

  • We deliver results - accountable to commitments and KPIs.
  • We continuously improve - FBS as the way we work.
  • We lead with intelligent action - bias to action, grounded in data.
