The Opportunity Join our dynamic team at Boehringer Ingelheim as the Country Head, Animal Health – North East & West Africa . In this role, you will lead the strategy, growth, and performance of the Animal Health business across the region. With full P&L accountability, you will drive business results across multiple countries and species, foster a highly effective marketing-driven organization, and ensure strong governance, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver sustainable growth and improved animal health outcomes.

This position is based in Cairo, Egypt, and reports to the General Manager – North East & West Africa with matrix reporting to the Regional Head of Animal Health IMETA. Key Accountabilities Develop and execute the Animal Health strategy for North Africa, ensuring alignment with corporate, regional, and cross-functional priorities. Lead and inspire a high-performing, agile, and customer-focused organization, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.

Drive sustainable business growth and profitability, holding full P&L accountability and delivering agreed commercial objectives. Ensure effective implementation of Animal Health strategies across all countries and species, leveraging regional synergies and sharing best practices. Champion operational excellence by ensuring compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, governance standards, and the company’s operational framework.

Oversee product launch readiness and execution, ensuring successful introduction of new products and maximization of business impact. Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, monitoring key performance indicators and supporting continuous improvements in demand, supply, and product management. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and authorities while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree; Master's degree in Business Administration is a plus Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Preferable experience within multinational Animal Health organizations and/or related industries. Proven experience in general management within a complex matrix environment.

Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business analysis, and translating strategy into execution. Strong experience in financial management, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and P&L leadership. Experience leading talent management activities, including organizational development, recruitment, coaching, and team leadership.

Fluency in English and Arabic is required; French is an advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong strategic and commercial acumen with the ability to drive sustainable business growth and profitability. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of delivering innovation and business transformation. Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Strong stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to build effective internal and external partnerships.
