Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Manager, Sales and Distribution (SD), to lead and support SAP initiatives across Order-to-Cash (OTC) and logistics business processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong SAP S/4HANA experience, deep functional expertise in SAP SD and logistics, and an understanding of end-to-end OTC processes within the life sciences industry. The successful candidate will have participated in at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation and be adept at translating business needs into scalable, sustainable solutions.

This role is responsible for solution design, implementation, process optimization, stakeholder management, and ongoing operational support. Working closely with Finance, Corporate Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, DD&AI, Business COE, affiliates, and external partners, the SAP Manager will drive SAP best practices and facilitate cross-functional decisions aligned with business priorities, enterprise standards, and Genmab’s SAP S/4HANA roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

SAP SD Solution & Delivery

  • Lead SAP SD and logistics design, configuration, implementation, enhancement, and support across S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Provide functional expertise across end-to-end OTC processes, including sales order management, pricing, availability checking, delivery, shipping and transportation, billing, returns, credit/debit processing, and credit management.
  • Support customer and business partner master data, intercompany transactions, and third-party sales scenarios.
  • Manage process integration between SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, EWM/WM, TM, and external systems.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions through fit-to-standard/fit-gap analysis, prioritizing standard S/4HANA capabilities and minimizing unnecessary customization.
  • Advise on S/4HANA simplifications and process changes affecting SD and logistics.
  • Coordinate functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Maintain documentation of requirements, functional designs, configurations, test scenarios, and operating procedures.
  • Oversee production support, resolve complex issues, and drive root-cause analysis and permanent solutions for recurring problems.
  • Ensure solutions comply with Genmab policies, internal controls, and audit expectations; support audits and timely remediation of findings

Business & Stakeholder Management

  • Facilitate requirements workshops, identify process improvements, prioritize enhancements, and support solution decisions and adoption.
  • Optimize order fulfillment, delivery, and shipping across internal operations and external logistics partners.
  • Align billing, credit management, intercompany transactions, and financial integration with accounting processes and control requirements.
  • Coordinate architecture and design reviews, interfaces, APIs, enhancements, reports, forms, and workflows, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and the SAP roadmap.
  • Communicate SAP concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and manage expectations, priorities, dependencies, risks, and issues across initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of SAP SD and logistics experience, including 3+ years with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Participation in at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation, from requirements through stabilization; experience leading an SD or logistics workstream preferred.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SAP SD, end-to-end Order-to-Cash, and related logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Experience integrating SAP SD with MM, FI/CO, EWM/WM, and TM; broader experience with EWM, TM, or GTS preferred.
  • Experience with SAP configuration, functional specifications, testing, data migration, cutover, and production support.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Fiori and S/4HANA capabilities; relevant SAP certification preferred.
  • Experience integrating SAP with 3PLs, warehouse systems, transportation providers, or customer platforms, and familiarity with APIs, IDocs, EDI, and middleware preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business and technology teams; experience managing implementation partners and managed service providers preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills, with a focus on sustainable solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Life sciences experience and knowledge of commercialization and supply chain processes preferred, along with experience supporting global SAP deployments.
