About this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, trim, and process tissue samples from study animals.
  • Perform tissue embedding, microtomy (sectioning), and slide preparation.
  • Conduct routine and special staining procedures (e.g., H&E staining).
  • Maintain histology equipment such as tissue processors, microtomes, and staining instruments.
  • Ensure high-quality tissue sections for microscopic evaluation.
  • Archive slides, blocks, and study records according to GLP requirements.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
  • Support toxicologic pathologists with slide management and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of tissue processing and histological techniques.
  • Experience with microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures.
  • Understanding of anatomy, pathology, and toxicology.
  • Familiarity with GLP and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to handle laboratory equipment and maintain records.

Typical Qualifications

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pathology, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in histopathology, pathology laboratories, or toxicology studies is preferred.
