About this role
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Receive, trim, and process tissue samples from study animals.
- ✓Perform tissue embedding, microtomy (sectioning), and slide preparation.
- ✓Conduct routine and special staining procedures (e.g., H&E staining).
- ✓Maintain histology equipment such as tissue processors, microtomes, and staining instruments.
- ✓Ensure high-quality tissue sections for microscopic evaluation.
- ✓Archive slides, blocks, and study records according to GLP requirements.
- ✓Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
- ✓Support toxicologic pathologists with slide management and documentation.
Required Skills
- ✓Knowledge of tissue processing and histological techniques.
- ✓Experience with microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures.
- ✓Understanding of anatomy, pathology, and toxicology.
- ✓Familiarity with GLP and regulatory requirements.
- ✓Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- ✓Ability to handle laboratory equipment and maintain records.
Typical Qualifications
- ✓B.Sc./M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pathology, or related disciplines.
- ✓Experience in histopathology, pathology laboratories, or toxicology studies is preferred.
