Job Function: Finance Job Sub Function: Accounting Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Bangalore, Karnataka, India Job Description: GS Finance Legal Entity Accounting (LEA) supports the delivery of locally compliant financial reporting obligations for Johnson & Johnson affiliates across jurisdictions. The Senior Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of professionals supporting statutory audits, tax audits, tax compliance data provision, statistical reporting, and regulatory reporting across EMEA region.
The role ensures accurate and timely delivery of external reporting obligations while partnering with Finance, Tax, Legal, IT, auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities. The position also plays a role in transitions, capability expansion, process transformation, and improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be a proactive and self-directed leader who can navigate ambiguity, solve sophisticated business challenges, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and drive excellence while leading teams through growth and change.
Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals responsible for statutory audits, tax audits, tax compliance support, statistical reporting, and regulatory reporting activities. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and improvement while driving team engagement, capability building, succession planning and performance management. Allocate resources and prioritize work to ensure the delivery of regulatory and audit requirements across markets.
Ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of reporting obligations while maintaining a control environment and handling operational risks. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate reporting requirements, resolve sophisticated issues, and support audit and compliance activities across multiple markets. Lead transitions, migrations, and capability expansion initiatives, including process stabilization, standardization, and knowledge transfer.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, analytics, and digital solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reporting quality. Serve as an escalation point for complex reporting, audit, and compliance matters. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Must hold a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA, or equivalent). Minimum 8-10 years of relevant accounting, reporting, audit, or compliance experience. Experience & Skills Strong accounting and finance background with experience in statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit support.
Experience supporting tax audits, tax authority requests, and compliance-related data provision. Understanding of multi-GAAP reporting environments and sophisticated legal entity structures. Proven success leading teams in a global or shared services environment.
Experience handling transitions, migrations, or service expansion initiatives. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across functions, geographies, and organizational levels. Proven track record to work independently, navigate ambiguity and incomplete information, solve complex problems, and drive decisions to resolution.
Strong risk assessment and mitigation capabilities. Excellent prioritization and organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and financial reporting systems. Experience leveraging automation, analytics, and digital tools such as Power BI, Power Platform, Alteryx, RPA, or similar technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
