About this role

If you’re interested in this role, please apply in English and include an English version of your Resume/CV. The Role Joining Moderna means advancing mRNA science to transform medicine. Work with exceptional global teams on a broad pipeline and build a career that makes a real difference for patients.

Moderna is strengthening its international business services hub in Warsaw, supporting our growing global operations. We welcome professionals ready to help advance our mission and shape the future of mRNA medicines. This is an opportunity to sit at the operational center of Medical Affairs across Europe and the Middle East, connecting Global, Regional, and Country teams and turning Medical strategy into disciplined, measurable execution.

As a Warsaw-based individual contributor, you will apply and evolve global operating models, processes, systems, and standards across a diverse regional environment—creating the connectivity, visibility, and operational rigor that enables Medical teams to deliver at scale. Your remit will span medical and country planning, Field Medical Enablement and CRM, medical insights, Listening Priorities and Knowledge Attitude & Beliefs (KAB) measurement, financial and resource management, Medical Grants, performance reporting, launch and lifecycle readiness, and regional operations. You will also have the opportunity to work at the intersection of Medical Affairs and Moderna's increasingly digital operating environment, supporting automation, AI-enabled capabilities and Generative AI tools that can simplify workflows, strengthen analytics, accelerate insights, and enable better decision-making.

Working closely with Europe & Middle East Medical leadership and Global Medical Affairs Operations, you will be a key connector across Medical, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Quality, Digital/Technology, Commercial Digital, and Country teams. While your primary accountability will be Europe and the Middle East, you will operate within a global model and contribute to shared capabilities, global initiatives, and cross-region coverage when needed. Here’s What You’ll Do Connect Global, Regional, and Country Medical Affairs teams, aligning priorities, processes, systems, reporting, and ways of working while ensuring regional and country needs and insights inform the continued evolution of global capabilities.

Implement and continuously improve the Global Medical Affairs Operations model across Europe and the Middle East, enabling consistent standards and shared capabilities while allowing appropriate adaptation to country and regional requirements. Contribute to global initiatives and provide cross-region support or coverage for shared Medical Affairs Operations processes, systems, reporting, and priorities as needed. Support the translation of country Medical strategy into integrated regional and country plans, connecting strategic priorities with budgets, resources, milestones, risks, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.

Enable effective execution of Medical Affairs activities across the EU & ME region, including Field Medical engagements, CRM, medical insights, Listening Priorities and KAB measurement, medical education, evidence generation, Medical Grants, and launch and lifecycle readiness. Manage and coordinate regional financial and resource operations, including planning, forecasting, budget tracking, contracting, purchase orders, invoicing, vendor management, and reconciliation in close partnership with Country teams, Finance, and Procurement. Develop and maintain operational plans, portfolio views, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that create visibility into execution, performance, resources, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.

Coordinate regional Medical Affairs business reviews and planning activities, including planning cycles such as CSE and ungating requests, QBRs, regional meetings, communications, and action and decision tracking. Partner with Global Medical Affairs Operations and Commercial Digital to support adoption and operational processes for the Customer Engagement Platform / CRM, including analytics, dashboards, automation, AI-enabled tools, and other Medical Affairs platforms. Explore opportunities to get closer to Generative AI and emerging digital capabilities, identifying responsible applications that can improve Medical Affairs workflows, reporting, analytics, knowledge management, and operational decision-making.

Identify and implement process improvements, remove operational friction, and support standardization and best-practice sharing across countries and regions. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Quality, and Country teams to ensure Medical Affairs operations reflect applicable European and country requirements, including data privacy, transparency, industry codes, local policies, and relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines such as EMA and GDPR requirements. Bring strong business and financial acumen to a complex matrixed environment, balancing multiple priorities while building alignment across Global, Regional, and Country stakeholders.

Apply your experience of Medical Affairs operations—including medical planning, Field Medical, insights and measurement, financial and resource management, governance, and compliance—to translate global strategy and processes into effective regional and local execution. Operate effectively within Moderna's global operating model, supporting shared processes and capabilities and contributing beyond the primary region when cross-region initiatives or coverage are required. Bring strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and influencing capabilities, with rigorous attention to detail and the ability to navigate complexity across functions, countries, and stakeholders.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, public health, business) and 5+ years of relevant pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences experience, including Medical Affairs operations or related functions. Demonstrated experience managing complex operational initiatives across functions, countries, and stakeholders within a matrixed organization. Strong understanding of Medical Affairs operations, including medical planning, Field Medical, insights and measurement, financial and resource management, governance, and compliance.

Experience translating strategy and global processes into effective regional or local execution and driving process improvement and adoption. Strong business and financial acumen, including experience with budget planning and tracking, forecasting, contracting, and vendor management. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build alignment across Global, Regional, and Country teams.

Understanding of the legal, regulatory, compliance, and data privacy requirements relevant to Medical Affairs within Europe and international markets. Demonstrated ability to work within a global operating model, including supporting shared processes, cross-region initiatives, and coverage outside the primary region when required. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, GDPR). Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs.
