Bengaluru, the city, which is India’s epicenter of Innovation, has been selected to be home to Takeda’s recently launched Innovation Capability Center. We invite you to join our digital transformation journey.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to boost your skills and become the heart of an innovative engine that is contributing to global impact and improvement. At Takeda’s ICC we Unite in Diversity Takeda is committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative workplace, where individuals are recognized for their backgrounds and abilities they bring to our company. We are continuously improving our collaborators journey in Takeda, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
Here, you will feel welcomed, respected, and valued as an important contributor to our diverse team OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead a GCC Commercial Insights & Analytics (I&A) team supporting a US/Global business unit (BU) within Takeda's GCC in India. This is a people-management role —accountable for the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of all analytics produced by the team. The Senior Manager coaches and guides Analysts through their work, ensures accountability for all deliverables, manages the day-to-day relationship with the BU's US I&A stakeholders, and remains hands-on on complex analyses when required.
Own the day-to-day analytics delivery of a team supporting the assigned BU, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of brand and portfolio analytics and holding the team accountable for every deliverable. Coach and guide Analysts through their work — shaping analytical approach, reviewing outputs, unblocking issues, and stepping in hands-on on complex or high-visibility analyses when required. Manage the day-to-day analytics relationship with the BU's US I&A stakeholders — demand intake, prioritization, delivery commitments, and proactive communication of status, risks, and trade-offs.
Drive consistent ways of working, quality standards, and process discipline within the team, ensuring predictable and reliable delivery. ACCOUNTABILITIES Team Delivery Oversight & Quality Own the quality, timeliness, and commercial relevance of all analytics delivered by the team — performance reporting, HCP targeting and segmentation, patient opportunity assessments, launch readiness analytics, and ad hoc deep dives across the BU's brands. Review team deliverables for methodological rigor, data accuracy, narrative quality, and stakeholder readiness before US review; be hands-on to guide or execute the most complex analyses when needed.
Balance capacity and prioritization across the team's workstreams, resolving contention and reallocating effort to protect the highest-value, highest-urgency deliverables. Stakeholder Management Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the BU's US I&A stakeholders, managing demand intake, setting and meeting delivery commitments, and proactively communicating status, risks, and trade-offs. Represent the team in the BU's US I&A working sessions, business reviews, and cross-functional analytics forums, ensuring GCC contributions are visible, trusted, and commercially relevant.
Maintain and improve the team's ways of working with US I&A counterparts — intake, prioritization, SLAs, escalation paths, and communication norms. People Leadership, Coaching & Accountability Lead a team of 6-8 direct reports; set clear goals, conduct regular one-on-ones, provide substantive feedback, and build individualized development plans. Coach and guide the team through their work day to day, developing analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder skills, while holding each team member accountable for the quality and timeliness of their output.
Build analytical and domain capability across the team through structured knowledge-sharing, methodology standards, and targeted training, fostering a high-engagement, learning-oriented culture. Support workforce planning and hiring for the team, including interview participation, onboarding, and performance management. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Champion automation and efficiency across the team's recurring reporting workflows, promoting SQL- and Python-based pipelines and dashboard automation that reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
Rationalize the team's reporting portfolio on a regular basis, consolidating, automating, or retiring deliverables in alignment with evolving brand-team priorities. Support Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) and transition activities for new workstreams entering the team, ensuring knowledge transfer and stable, high-quality delivery. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor's Degree required in Statistics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Analytics, Data Science, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
