Velsera provides software and professional services for: · AI-powered multimodal data harmonization and analytics for drug discovery and development · IVD development, validation, and regulatory approval · Clinical NGS interpretation, reporting, and adoption With our headquarters in Boston, MA, we are growing and expanding our teams located in different countries! What will you do? • You assess the needs of agile teams: hire and onboard new team members as required within predefined budgets. • You motivate the team to deliver their best work in a healthy sustainable environment. • People management for 6 to 12 software engineers: conduct performance reviews, coach and mentor engineers to support their growth and development. • You drive the delivery of high-quality software in a regulated environment, according to the teams’ quarterly plans. You protect the teams from disturbance & disruption while prioritizing critical issues with the teams. • You support the team in quarterly planning: as an Engineering Manager, you facilitate discussions between Engineering, Product & Business. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product and Customer Operations to ensure the successful delivery of software products. • Build a deep understanding of Velsera’s products offering from a business, a customer, a product • You report on the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management using predefined metrics. • You ensure that agile software development methodologies are implemented and processes are efficient and effective.

What do you bring to the table? • +5 years in the field of software engineering. • Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of software engineers. • The ability to clearly communicate and collaborate well with both technical and non-technical partners. • A problem-solver attitude as a servant leader for agile engineering teams, providing solutions to unblock both people and processes. • A strong technical background in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in the software development industry. • Experience with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle management processes. • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, a track record of actively driving processes to deliver quality outcomes. • Good presentation, oral, and written communication skills. • Experience in developing software in a regulated environment is a plus.
