About the Role

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production operations and ensuring assets move efficiently through the refurbishment process while meeting quality standards, production targets, and customer delivery requirements. This role provides hands-on leadership, develops and coaches team members, promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, and collaborates cross-functionally to resolve operational challenges and enhance performance. The Operations Supervisor oversees personnel, manages workflow and labor resources, monitors key operational metrics, and supports inventory accuracy and shipping readiness.

Salary Range & Benefits

Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production operations to achieve production targets and meet on-time delivery commitments.
  • Monitor production schedules and proactively communicate potential delays, bottlenecks, or operational disruptions to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure refurbished products meet established quality standards, customer specifications, and operational requirements.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives and support overall business goals.
  • Communicate performance expectations, production priorities, operational goals, and key business updates to employees.
  • Allocate labor, equipment, and material resources effectively to support production requirements and daily workflow plans.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze operational performance metrics, providing timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to drive employee performance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and administer performance management activities in accordance with company policies and HR guidelines.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, corrective action, and employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational, inventory, quality, and customer service issues.
  • Ensure work order accuracy and the timely preparation, completion, and maintenance of all required shipping and operational documentation.
  • Maintain accountability for inventory accuracy through effective inventory control practices and collaboration with the Inventory team.
  • Manage employee attendance, timekeeping records, and weekly labor-hour review and approval processes.
  • Provide operational leadership, guidance, and decision-making support during management absences and other business-critical situations.
  • Monitor workflow, production capacity, and resource utilization to ensure efficient operations and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Support a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing, production, cold storage, or warehouse environment.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory, management, or team leadership experience.
  • Proven experience managing production schedules, labor allocation, and workflow operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes, quality standards, and operational performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience using ERP systems and production and/or warehouse management software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceutical, cold-chain, or warehouse operations environments.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams while fostering employee engagement and accountability.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), process controls, and operational excellence best practices.
  • Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving operational challenges through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Experience using ERP, warehouse management (WMS), or production management systems to support operational planning and execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience implementing process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, frequently will be required to:

Work Environment
