Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Mental Health Professional for a full-time role as an Enrollment Clinician at our Watertown location.

The Enrollment Clinician is the first clinical point of contact for people interested in participating in our trials. In a single conversation, you'll build rapport with a prospective participant, conduct a diagnostic intake assessment, evaluate their candidacy against the criteria of every actively enrolling study, and — for those who are eligible — make a compelling case for the trial that fits them best and guide them into the screening process. It's a role that asks you to be a skilled diagnostician and a persuasive communicator in the same breath, often within the span of an hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical intake interviews with prospective participants to assess psychiatric and medical history, current symptom presentation, and overall clinical picture.
  • Evaluate candidacy against the inclusion and exclusion criteria of multiple concurrently enrolling protocols, identifying the strongest fit and documenting the clinical rationale.
  • Present the study to eligible candidates in a clear and compelling way, addressing questions and concerns and securing informed, enthusiastic buy-in.
  • Move eligible participants into screening — completing the informed consent process on the spot wherever possible, and owning the follow-up for those who can't.
  • Track and follow up on candidates who require additional records, coordination, or time before a screening decision can be made, so that no eligible participant falls through the cracks.
  • Partner closely with enrollment leads to prioritize across studies as timelines, criteria, and site needs shift, ensuring the right candidates are matched to the right trials.
  • Contribute to site and network screening and enrollment goals, and maintain accurate documentation of all assessments and eligibility determinations.

Qualifications

We are seeking clinical professionals that have the following degree/licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  • PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • LCSW
  • LMSW
  • LMHC

OR who have a masters in a mental health related field.

Clinical Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience, including diagnostic evaluations, administering assessments, and patient care in psychiatry or related settings.
  • Experience conducting differential diagnoses is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with substance use disorders is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to clinical trials or neuropsychological assessments is a plus; training will be provided.
  • This role is not suited for recent graduates without prior clinical experience or for clinicians who are seeking roles providing direct therapy.

Who you are

  • Quick, sound clinical judgment. Able to build an accurate picture of someone's diagnostic history, symptom profile, and overall presentation in a single conversation, and confident making a defensible call on eligibility without weeks of data.
  • Natural rapport-builder. Able to put participants/patients at ease during what can be a vulnerable first conversation, read the room in real time, and adjust approach to the person in front of you.
  • Persuasive and confident. Once eligibility is established, able to shift gears and make a compelling, honest case for why the study is a good fit for the candidate and securing genuine buy-in.
  • High-capacity multitasker. Able to hold a lot in mind at once — the patient's clinical picture, multiple protocols' inclusion and exclusion criteria, site and network priorities, scheduling logistics, and the candidate's comfort level — and synthesize it all under time pressure.
  • Creative and flexible problem-solver. Can think expansively about where a candidate might fit, exploring every protocol they could qualify for without ruling someone out prematurely.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 salary, commensurate with experience
